Hi this joke is for me
I couldn't place where I had seen this photo before and then it hit me
i was lucky enough to catch that re:boot tour at a little club in Buffalo, and it changed the way i looked at their entire catalog. one banger after another, left soaked in sweat. project pitchfork was a pretty fun opener, too. anyway, great writeup; the very existence of NINoize is such a treat.
such a good writeup, which makes obvious some things i've never thought about when playing the game - pointing out the effect of the fade-to-black at boss time especially. this is the game that turned me into a shmup fan, yet somehow i've never beaten it honestly. maybe it's time for another go...
100%. loved it at first, but now it seems to be "setting itself apart" by just constantly wallowing in misery, like late-period sons of anarchy or (predictably?) walking dead
Imagine being a loyal Target anything
journalism in general is very difficult for women (and black people, and trans people) to have long careers in. but in this specific niche is it particularly dire.
Just realized that this absolutely brilliant four-track single is nowhere to be found on Spotify. Viva physical media. (track 2 is one of the greatest electronic compositions ever composed.)

Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby, peaking his head into an examination room, on "The Pitt."
"The Pitt" vs. its fandom: Why is the show's vocal fandom putting "The Pitt's" characters on trial to be deemed “good” or “bad"?

hear me out: what if the reason to do a thing were ever, fucking EVER, that it was the right thing to do
my take is that the quality has an awful lot to do with the texture of the cookie and very little to do with the ice cream, but i'll never say no
toad and i have a lot in common
@ItsBCJim The bad part of getting older is that you become an NPC, the good part is that being an NPC rocks. Nothing like walking down the street with a thought bubble that's just a sandwich you're looking forward to. Protagonism is best left to teens and the insane
Cops fractured his skull for standing by in peaceful protest. And people in power claimed he assaulted the cops. No hell greater for those who smeared him. RIP.
I felt this in my SOUL
Frog and Toad sat on the porch, feeling sad together.
come on guys let's go, those are rookie numbers
hey. i think you're pretty cool. i hope you spend some time doing something nice today. i hope we are still here tomorrow but if we aren't it's been pretty rad despite the assholes and the fascists
I have had some version of "he wants all of us to be buried with him" in stuff I've written about Trump in the past and usually but not always taken it out. It didn't like looking at it, mostly, but over time it just became one of those things that was too obvious to bother with. It's all sickening.
A thread of three skeets: Tequila Sunset: James Balls John Pettus: This is the energy that I have seen on Blue Sky that l've never seen anywhere else. Pure trolling, and engaged in by a HUGE number of users. Not productive. Not civil. Not entertaining, except in the way a crowd of kids is entertained by a bully. Tequila: John Penis

If the wealthy can get you thinking about who deserves basic needs and who doesn't, they win. They don't care if you think wealthy people are the ones who don't deserve; establishing that it must be earned is the key. With that done, they can just keep expanding the definition of "undeserving."
this is a great article, which had the disconcerting effect of making me kinda want to go on a band cruise
learning that astronauts have to use microsoft outlook in space is unspeakably depressing. we have set microsoft outlook free from the bounds of earth. polluting the stars with that janky piece of shit

i don't mean to sound performative or sanctimonious or whatever but i just cannot wrap my head around what kind of person you have to be to meet someone who introduces themselves with their name and identity and reply with "actually no you're not"
if you're a gamer you should know that the gaming industry has a disproportionately large number of trans people in it. and not just recently. even in the 80s, we had influential trans game designers.
