Mammy ᛞᚨᚾᚷᚱ always said: if it's that time of the month, or that time of the year, stuff your pockets with one of these.
Who knows what I'm cookin' here? :3
Part 3: "The astronomical rise in stories about trans people that I’d collected over the previous year told a different story. This massive, messy dataset was brimming with increasingly vile headlines that only seemed to metastasize with time. ... two years later we know how the story turns out."

A great day on the Dublin Bird Race yesterday. 11 teams took part recording 109 species.
A decent tally given the persistent, (very wet) rain.
1st place went to ‘The Troy Parrotts’ beating favorites the “Southside Swifts”. Best name goes to “Irritable Owl Syndrome” #SpeirGorm #IrishBirding 1/2
Dang, wouldn't have expected RimWorld to overtake my playtime charts like this. :)
Honorable mentions: Magicraft for being dope, Death Must Die for shaping up real nice, and 20 Minutes Till Dawn for being quite exploitable in longplay. :3
Happy New Year, kids!
Keep on keeping on - and don't forget to stay hydrated with the right kinds of tea! ;)
Further testing revealed that this lemon juice does indeed aid extraction of aromatics and alkaloids like nuciferine in Blue Lotus tea infusions - more so than concentrate.
I'll have to get test strips to confirm, but it seems this method's yield is more acidic than concentrate.
I think I can do better than 30 ml, though this'll be enough for increasing chemical extraction of alkaloids and terpenes in tea infusions for a couple days.
And the taste is genuinely better than concentrate...
How much lemon juice can I get out of a single lemon?
Looks like 30-ish ml in this amber flask, with a simple peel + cut + mortar + pestle + pulp filter extraction.
... this service post brought to you by Irish stores not stocking lemon juice.

Yeah, that checks out - a good fortune teller will rely less on the actual cards and more how the card applies to a specific situation for the reading. :)
BREAKING NEWS: Here is a baby otter.
I mean, it is superstition, but they're also pretty playing cards.
I think this one was referring to me posting a rune reading? Iunno, I got GCT on block.
Menthol crystals in a soap stone bowl, next to an environmental sensor showing 301 Kelvin (28 degrees Celsius).
Lowest-tech help with rooms being too fucking warm without installing an AC: #menthol-crystals in a #soap-stone bowl.
Can't decide if this is high-tech or low-tech, considering menthol crystals are made from mint. Either way, it helps.

It appears Lady Freyja may have been running the runic hotline today, bringing us:

The Lady favors those who think for themselves, so this one's up to you - just be sure to stay hydrated and take your B-vitamins!
Right??
I hope I can manage tomorrow for Obon. xD
That is the most relaxed cat momma ever, and I love it so much. :3

Today might well be a good day to go outside and touch grass.

Trust in the path, my child, and give life a chance - you never know what surprises might wait for you just outside of your comfort zone!
AC-6926 mainboard, and speaker assembly, with other daughter component plugs removed. Looks like a V2 or V2.1 board from an originally larger design, depopulated for this specific use case, judging from the pads.
Close up on the main driver chip and board model/revision number. Notice the large MCU-looking chip, which is likely a JL=JieLi=Jieli Technology SoC that would be used in "speaker lamp" designs. There's probably JTAG or 3.3V UART on this board accessible via pads somewhere. Gotta investigate further in the future with a Flipper, but for now I've reassembled the whole thing.
For the mainboard itself, this is clearly not their first version, judging from the silkscreen having a -V2A marking.
I'm noticing a number of unpopulated tabs as well, so clearly the engineers who designed this had FUN - but also this board is clearly for multiple SKUs!
Kudos, engineers!
Laser module after removing the heatsink; also on notice the diffraction disc in this shot which the motor drives to make the nebula effect "breathe".
Disassembled laser module and heatsink components; notice the brass for the actual laser module housing, the aluminum light path and lens housing, and the spring that holds the lens in place. Typical "pointer can" design with slightly variable collimation/focus lens.
Back of the laser module housing; notice that it's 3-pin, one likely for TTL which the projector doesn't use at all. Also notice the modular design with the header plug, AND they didn't snap off the unused pin on the housing, just glue-gunned it in place to stay out of contact range. Very nice!
Turns out the laser module itself is just a standard 12mm/13mm laser "pointer can" module with a heatsink tension screwed. And the base material for the actual diode casing is brass from the weight of it, with an aluminum light path and a spring for the lens.
RGB LED daughter board, lens casing, laser module and diffraction disc motor after disassembly.
WHY is this great, you ask? Well, notice that none of the wiring is soldered onto the board, but instead using JST/micro molex plugs, and all the parts are modular, with actual screws and no snap tabs. This is how you do it!
AC-6926 directly after intial disassembly, with mainboard and the component daughter boards visible.
Well well well, this is a glorious surprise! Took that "AC-6926" nebula/starfield galaxy projector apart - turns out what actually killed the starfield generator was likely a missing lens that got warped on a drop *outside*, but look at this beauty of a design!
GREAT Engineering - ALT TEXT: ON!
Literally the reason why I've been wearing an eye patch for most of the last couple months.
Best of luck with that migraine - hope you find something that works. ^^8
Thus spoke the Allfather:

Never fret, my child, for just across the horizon is another day to shine.
Inquiring minds would like to know! <3
