I restarted therapy just last week :D a bit late since I'm in burnout, really pulled it to the limit. Better start sooner if you can β₯οΈ

Everything I postpone, drop or never start, e.g.:
- Run various ttrpg with different systems
- Learn Japanese
- Learn to play drums
- Painting minis
While also still playing videogames, boardgames and focusing on losing weight. As it's not for profit, does historical reenactment still count? π
Hype!

Hiriluk and Kureha are such good cast choices πππ S2E7 of One Piece live action is sooo good. All of it actually πβ₯οΈ

Today is Nix's birthday! β₯οΈ My adorable yet lethal cat is now 3 years old π₯³π₯³ I decided to improvise a cake for her and I think she really appreciated it π€£

This little devil brings me so much joy β₯οΈ even when she pisses me off π₯° omg! It just dawned on me that Nix will be 3 years old in 2 days :D
Now it's all crawling towards a very dystopian future on all fronts. Way too many things on my head.
I have plenty but if anyone has super chill game recs, I'm all ears. When I'm not doing that I'll try to spend a lot more time just walking aimlessly and sunbathing. Seems like a good start
I'll start therapy aimed specifically at dealing with this. It sucks, my avg blood pressure has good up and it's a little less than a year that I've started having panic attacks. Something I never had before in my life.
We used to think that life after 2000 was supposed to improve for everyone
It happened, it's my turn now. I'm in burnout. I've been soldiering on for a while but it's now too much.
Among several things, having to travel 400km return several times a week to do the exact same job I could do from home is taking it's toll. I have 2 weeks of sick keave ahead of me, for now.
I'll add to my list of actual "next to play" games then π
3) Half-Life 2.
I loved the first one. I've studied 2 for game design, saw tech videos on implementations, I saw speedruns on how and what they broke with commentary by the devs. I even have Half-Life Alyx.
And yet, I never booted once the second chapter π₯²

Ahah! Ok, I'll add another entry to the shame list π€£
2) Grim Fandango. A Double Fine masterpiece. I saw & listened to Tim (not met) at a few talks. Always amazed by so many of his/their games. But these days I feel like I struggle going back to some point&click games.
Should I put it back on my list?

Fable. I know of it, I've seen it at friend's in highschool but I never owned an Xbox. I got it through some bundle years ago. I'm really looking forward to Playground's sequel but I never tried the original, even though it's sitting right there

I'm sitting very uncomfortably on a train. I doubt this will go that far for me but I have time to waste and I can start with a freebie, maybe it will push me to rearrange the order of games I'll play next
A still image of a news channel showcasing the current split in counted ballots: YES 45,9% - NO 54,1%. 48.000 out of 61.500 sections finished counting their votes.
A picture of my voting card filled with stamps, a new one after each election/referendum. Latest one dated 22 March 2026
I'm glad I did my part. To me voting is not just a right, it's a civic duty.
I'm also very glad this bs of a referendum is finally over. I'm sure they'll try again but at least this one time there's no steps backwards.
Ballots are still being counted but right now: YES 45,9% - NO 54,1%.
It's just this. There's no in between.
Giving some benefit of the doubt, the former is possible. I've seen it way too many times, wanting to see how a "prototype" looked/felt in it's final state (not really a prototype at that point, is it?). Still, the latter is worse :|
great reporting here. basically yes DLSS 5 is running a gen AI model on the 2D output and nothing more. it doesnβt know anything about the 3D scene, textures / models / lighting / PBR other than what the model infers by looking at a frame.
TL:DR, they sped up slop.

I don't really know what to say at this point, I cam only share news articles.

I wonder how far we are from going completely bust as an industry and have no studios at all on the stock market.
Maybe late stage capitalism blows up as a whole before that together with the AI bubble
The fun part? We're cooked (literally) even if it succeeds (it won't).
This is from one of the former Infinity Ward/Call of Duty co-founders:
At least some good news for once!
Not even sure what to expect next
I saw a screenshot of what seems to be the internal email. It's the usual hollow bs jargon used in comms towards investors. Ticking all the boxes with catchy (for investors) words and wrapping up with a "btw we're shutting down X studio".
Hypercapitalism at its finest.
A picture of Kuwait's largest tyre landfill. A sea of used tyres.
A graph displaying the global CO2 emissions from aviations specifically, data between 1940 and 2019 where it peaked at 1 billion tons per year.
Again, it doesn't completely solve root issues, but it would still make it so we'd have a lot less of this and that:
I also look forward to tech still in proto stages that won't fix things by itself BUT will improve current problems that realistically will be around for a while.
- KLM's V-shape airplane should save 20% fuel vs current ones (lower emissions).
- Retreadable airless tyres (less waste, more re-use)
Welp. I had no rush to get one but at this rate I guess I just won't at all π
