Heard an interview with him on Pod Save America, and he just strikes me as someone who can say awful things without caring about it, making it easier to write him off.
Did not have the need to invest more time in him.

Tweet by “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth: “The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.” Below there is a video of the announcement for his many, many illiterate fans
Behind Hegseth’s big stupid face, a painting can be seen.
The painting is of George Washington crossing the Delaware. It is by Emanuel Leutze.
An article from the National Parks Service: Smallpox, Inoculation, and the Revolutionary War Boston National Historical Park During the 1700s, smallpox raged through the American colonies and the Continental Army. Smallpox impacted the Continental Army severely during the Revolutionary War, so much so that George Washington mandated inoculation for all Continental soldiers in 1777. Just fifty-six years earlier, in 1721, Bostonian doctors and clergy introduced the procedure to the American colonies. Without the vision and determination of these early Bostonians in normalizing inoculation, Washington may not have made the decision to mandate inoculation for the Continental Army. Though it was a controversial action, many historians credit the medical mandate with the colonists' victory in the Revolutionary War and the creation of the United States of America.
Mollie Hemingway's new Alito book, a gushing hagiography of the Court's most open partisan, reveals the depth of right-wing fantasies about leftist violence. Fascinating look at the threats a movement premised in grievance but in complete control has to invent talkingpointsmemo.com/news/alito-h...

Rendition of Trump's 'Triumphal Arch' looking like something right out of Nazi Germany
Years ago, a cartoonist did an amazing series of Albert Speer... the Nazi's Minister of Armaments & War Production, and Hitler's favorite architect... making monstrosities of things like hamburger shacks,
Trump clearly missed the joke.
This is hideous in all ways.

It is worse than the Ecological Inference Fallacy

'NASA is poised to launch astronauts into space tonight for its first trip to the moon since 1972. It’s expected to be a quick 10-day out-&-back to the big rock. I’m planning on checking out former astronaut Sen. Mark Kelly’s (D-AZ) “ask me anything” Reddit forum'

Headline: NASA astronauts are counting down to the Artemis II moon launch. Displayed over a photo of four people in bright orange space suits.
At bottom, an image of the Artemis II rocket on the launch pad. Text above it reads: NASA is targeting April 1 to launch Artemis II, sending four astronauts on a mission around the moon that will help shape its future lunar exploration plans. If it proceeds, the flight would mark the first time humans travel beyond Earth orbit in more than 50 years, since Apollo 17 in 1972. The mission will use the Space Launch System rocket and Orion crew capsule, though both have faced multiple delays this year due to issues discovered during testing.
Portraits of each of the Artemis II astronauts: NASA's Reid Wiseman, commander; NASA's Victor Glover, pilot; NASA's Christina Koch, mission specialist; and Canada's Jeremy Hansen, mission specialist. Text above reads: Artemis II will carry three NASA astronauts and one Canadian astronaut on a 10-day mission that could take them farther into space than any humans have gone before.
At top, a diagram showing the Artemis II mission's flight path. Text reads: The mission will test critical systems, conduct medical and scientific experiments, and enable observation of the moon's far side. While satellites and some Apollo missions have captured parts of the far side, the crew may see areas of the lunar surface never before viewed by humans. Artemis II will also help validate technology for future missions, including Artemis III and a planned moon landing during Artemis IV, and support NASA's long-term goal of establishing a sustained human presence on the moon.
