You know what would be super cool? If people in the same field as you weren’t so condescending to you based on where you live for once

Never beating the allegations 🤪

I know this is late, but I hope this additional info/thread gives more clarity straight from the source, despite what others say might have happened.

I wish people wouldn’t default to “well the ACTOR must have done something wrong” or “I think the studio just wanted to let them down easy” or “it must be because they are from Texas”. This actively happens sometimes even if you’ve NEVER seen it happen before.

I’m not saying the union is bad or evil for this. But I just wish that other actors would BELIEVE what we say happens about how difficult the road can be to gaining union status.

This director had no reason to lie to me or make me feel better about the situation. He was straight up told to put more union people on the project so he had to replace a handful of us.

I’m going to provide insight because what I said happened, DID happen. This was a union project IN DALLAS and I didn’t lose the job because I wasn’t available to be in LA.

I recorded for this project, and afterwards the director was told that they didn’t have enough union actors in the project.

I am so sorry this happened. That is terrifying.
