Apply now and help shape the future of LGBTQIA+ representation in advertising: www.outvertising.org/mentoring-pr...
👥 Who can apply?
🎯 If you’re LGBTQIA+ and either looking to enter the industry or have less than five years of experience, apply to be a mentee.
🎯 If you have 7+ years of industry experience, are in a senior role, and want to support the next wave of talent, apply to be a mentor.
💡 How it works:
✅ A 6-month structured programme
✅ One-on-one mentoring sessions
✅ Outvertising-run sessions and check-ins
The Outvertising Mentor Programme is designed to help LGBTQIA+ talent thrive by pairing them with experienced mentors—senior industry leaders who are either part of the LGBTQIA+ community or active allies. With the right support, we can build a more diverse, inclusive, and creative industry.
🚀 The Outvertising Mentor Programme 2025 is Now Open for Applications! 🏳️🌈
Are you an LGBTQIA+ professional looking to break into the advertising industry or take your career to the next level? Or are you a senior leader eager to give back and support the next generation of talent?
This is an incredibly important resource.
Those not in marketing & advertising might not realise how important brand input/£££ is - it’s what the news media are chasing when they generate transphobic outrage for clicks!
If brands reject placement on transphobic platforms, the media are stuffed! 👏🏻😁
This has been in development for atleast 18 months. I’m glad to see it launch. The ad industry really needs it right now.
Thank you @outvertising.bsky.social 🙏
Today @outvertising.bsky.social have released their Advocacy Playbook for the industry. At least 18 months in the making. The ad industry desperately needs this guidance right now.
Well done to all the volunteers at Outvertising for creating a clear path forward 🙏
For those of you in the industry, I definitely recommend checking this out. I've just started to go through it but already it looks like an extremely valuable resource with actionable ideas.
Also, thank you to Campaign UK for their continued support in helping us shout loudly about our mission.

It’s incredibly comprehensive and it’s free. It's now over to you to take action.
At a time of EDI reversal and growing hate against the LGBTQIA+ community, brands and agencies have a responsibility to protect and champion their queer employees and customers. The Advocacy Playbook is your guide to help you do just that.
The Advocacy Playbook is officially here today!
This first-of-its-kind resource has been created to empower you to establish equity in your workplaces and build it into the work you create.

👀 a deafening silence or just a post lost in the feed? It’s hard to tell.
We know there have been liberal amounts of gagging orders in our industry. You can DM in absolute confidence if you need.
Tell us: what’s your agency stance on the Meta mess?

Being able to surface this data is important. Please fill in the 2025 Major Players Salary Census before it closes!

Black LGBTQIA+ femmes are the lowest paid cohort - with a £45k average salary (and heterosexual Black females earn £56k, which is the lowest of any ethnic cohort when you just compare gender)
🧵In Adland, our colleagues from the LGBTQIA+ community earn on average £7,161 less than their heterosexual counterparts – which is approximately a 10% pay gap.
Out of those who earn £100k, only 13% are from the LGBTQIA+ community.
We’re back with paid opportunities for Trans+ creatives. Get your pitches in!
Thank you for the tip!
We’re looking for more London venues for our social calendar. Ideally community owned and central.
