The only reason this isn’t going to be the disaster it has the incredible potential to be is because the vast majority of them will get it anyway.

Hackers absolutely. The Fifth Element. If I see a second of it, I have to watch the rest.

“Stop trying to make Kirk happen!”
It was so awkward. They tried so hard.

Probably not at that price. If it does and no one else, then they’ll give up on it like the original Segway standing wheelchair.

I think “bleating edge “ still works because they’re loud sheep.

I read that as “Human WASTING machine” and was trying to figure out WTF that meant. Still works as a caption.

Men in Black II was just meh. Didn’t even know there was a hate for it.
But the other three I’m a big fan of.

Huge thrill when Wheaton replied to me about something in like 2002.

Anything goes on Pizza now. Way weirder than pineapple.

CITW was a tribute.

I hate Al and I refuse to use it

Peter, if you don't use Al a bunch of super rich men will lose a lot of money

I already said I hated Al Harry, you don't need to sell it to me

Spent the morning mounting biking on my Radster Trail. Not as nimble as an old school MTB, but it sure was a blast.

Got way further and higher than I would have without help. Miles of forest and I only saw people in the parking lot.

they came into the kitchen and flipped on the light. This startled the cat, who had somehow managed to get up there for once, causing it to flip out and leap suddenly from the top of the fridge and directly at her. Scared her half to death and nearly knocked her over.

I had a friend with a severely overweight cat that had to go on a special diet. Over 20lbs. They moved the other cat’s food to the top of the fridge. Late at night, it would try to get up there, repeatedly throwing itself against the fridge, making an incredible racket.

One morning…

I buy plain bran flakes and raisins. It’s cheaper and the raisins aren’t all coated.

I swear KFC was different when I was younger. I had a friend who worked there and would bring it to picnics. Ate quite a bit. Didn’t have it for decades. Had it again a year or so ago and it was terrible. I even tried again. Ugh.

Popeye’s: I miss the Po Boy, but like the spicy chicken.

It was years before I found out a Snipe was a real thing.

The joke at Boy Scout Camp was to go “snipe hunting” where you’d convince a young scout to hold a pillow case to catch the snipe you were going to flush out of the brush, but you’d really just leave them holding the bag and you’d go back to the campfire to see how long it took them to figure it out.

Awesome news. There was a grove of eucalyptus where I grew up in CA and you could go see them mating. Giant clusters the size of punching bags hanging from the branches. The sound was incredible. The soft fluttering of uncountable wings that made a white noise that blocked out everything else.

They should get back pay to their starting day. Every one of them.

Beautiful pic. I didn’t know about Northern Flickers until my son became bird obsessed for a couple of years.

There is one on the tree I can see from my home office window. I love them.

Also not reading it.

Exactly my reaction. It seems impossible.

I believe it, I just can’t believe it.

Well, thank you. Me too, honestly. Uploaded it to Twitter a decade ago, have never changed it.

Linux Mint. It’s the most polished Linux I’ve used, handles its own updates, etc. When you install it, you make a bootable USB so you can plug it into your computer, boot from the USB and see how you like it without installing it or harming your current OS. (With some exceptions.)

When I really want to do: Linux on a phone. For the one I have access to at the moment (Old Samsung Galaxy) there’s really only virtual environments. I want to run it natively. They’re so locked down at the hardware level.

I do IT and end up with a lot of systems that need wiping and recycling. I’ve gotten in the habit of installing Linux Mint just to see how well it runs. Old Macs are incredible. It’s like butter. 12 year old iMac, OS ridiculously out of date, insecure, but still ran OK. Mint flew like an eagle.
