No, that's communism. "Communism" is defined as "stuff that doesn't put enough money into oil executive portfolios".

And loads of book shops are around Charing Cross. I have been known to spend ALL DAY in Waterstones’ Piccadilly branch, including eating linch & dinner and then getting off my tits on cocktails, eventually stumbling home clutching bags of books i definitely did not need.

There’s obviously no end of great galleries & museums, if that’s your bag; if you want some greenery to contrast with all that, Hampstead Heath or Richmond are lovely.

Ooh - day trip to Hampton Court? Beautiful place, Hampton Court.

Alternatively you can go to Brick Lane and walk around enjoying the graffiti art & fabulous South Asian food; we once took a foodie walking tour there, and ate like kings.

Otoh Camden Market is perhaps a more tourist-friendly spot to revel in delicious things & quirky mementos? Or Covent Garden.

And then after that you can keep walking and take in Shakespeare’s Globe, which is just lovely. And from there you can wander along to get a pint at The Mermaid, which is a pub where Shakespeare & co used to hang out, or you can cross the Millennium Pedestrian Bridge to potter around St Paul’s.

I always loved taking the tube to Waterloo and walking along the South Bank. You can also get to the London Eye from there, but I used to love meandering past the IMAX towards the National Theatre (idk if they still have second hand book stalls under the bridge?) & strolling down to the Tate Modern

I hope I’m wrong, but I suspect that the art in The African Room has probably been destroyed.

On the one hand, we’re dealing with avaricious two bit crooks, so maybe they DID just steal the art; otoh they’re spiteful white supremacist two bit crooks who revel in destruction, so...

Daily Mail scores own goal with desperate attack on Green Party The Daily Mail has attacked Zack Polanski's Green Party as "authoritarian" - which is rich coming from the cheerleaders of fascism

"For people like Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine, Polanski is basically Hitler. The thing is, when you remember how the Mail once shouted “Hurrah for the Blackshirts“, you would expect it to support #Zack if that was actually true."

🤣🤣🤣

Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.

And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.

I know you think your govt is bad but my prime minister just went to my home state to campaign while wearing a fake tan because Tams are darker in general than North Indians and so would....vote for him because of this?

They're so obviously doing this on purpose. So many times there have just happened to be exactly as many traitor Dems as needed for the Reps to get their way.

They are collaborators, and must be treated as such.

12 year old Tamir Rice was shot dead in a park for the crime of playing with a toy gun within TWO SECONDS of the cops’ arrival on the scene.

Their car engine was still running.

They let him bleed out while his sister sobbed and begged to be allowed to go to him.

Omelas already exists: no need to build it or choose it. We already live here –in the narrow, foul, dark prison we let our ignorance, fear, and hatred build for us and keep us in, here in the splendid, beautiful city of life...

Eliminating libraries in prisons is a disaster, completely shortsighted. Libraries are a lifeline for incarcerated people who want to learn and grow, and have few other options.

Christianity and Hinduism's polar opposite methods of colonisation of other religions is so stark. Christianity is like"all your existing gods are devils, repent!" whereas Hinduism is goes with their "FYI your god is a god of ours too buddy, you've always been Hindu actually, wake up"

So far, Vance’s foreign policy record is yelling at Zelensky for not thanking Trump enough, campaigning for AfD in Germany and Orban in Hungary, getting rejected by the Pope on his invite to the US, and failing in the Iran negotiations.

It was a fine summer day for childhood trauma.
#Sink or swim, Dad said. Literally. Threw me in the pool with no fanfare. 'Cause that's how he learned, and he turned out just fine. Instinct will take over, he said.
I do not have good instincts.
And that is why I got to take swimming lessons.

When small minded "pastors" talk about taking away the right for women to vote and you see a room full of smart, capable women overseeing Artemis's mission to orbit the moon, you realize how irrelevant these podcaster theobros are. There is a woman orbiting space right now without their permission, which no one needs to ask for. Keep on.
