This is a type of lichen I learned is prevalent in many different climates. It looks like pale green fuzz and basically disappears when you hold it in your hand.

Oh yes it’s a begonia, on Maui

🌱wind storm here for the past 4 hours, starting right after I snapped this photo of my beautiful silver maple tree which was started from seedling where it grew. I’ll bet with the morning light, I will not see as many leaves on this tree.
