Random itching and the weight gain can both be attributed to perimenopausal bs.

The government/military absolutely knew what they were doing with the Nevada test site when it came to downwinders. Utah Mormons don't drink or smoke (cutting out major causes of cancer), which makes them ideal guinea pigs for studying what long term fallout exposure does to a population.

Considering what happened to Roe vs Wade, it's pretty safe to say that certain people want young women to be forced or tricked into popping out kids before they're ready, even if it isn't what they wanted in the first place.

"Cross-sex hormones". Uh huh. Dumbass obviously doesn't understand that everyone has the same hormones, just in different individual levels.

Sure, let him tell a group of perimenopausal and menopausal women that he wants to get rid of the HRT that may work for them. That'd end real well for him.

The measles outbreak is apparently not enough, they'd like to speedrun taking things back to the early 1800s.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

Option A is sheer laziness. Option B is questionable literacy and/or reasoning ability. I also wonder about that sometimes, which of those two options would they prefer to own up to?

Nothing's quite like people online who are wildly wrong, double down on it when corrected, and then post "evidence" that is supposed to prove them right but does the exact opposite. I always have to wonder if they didn't read what they're citing or if they have no functional reading comprehension?

A new annoyance has been discovered on the JoAnn closure front: trying to find Schmetz machine needles in any variety other than "Universal" sucks where I am at. You can find some of the other varieties, but it's very hit and miss, nobody stocks all or even most of them. I now have to order online.

A photo of a tray with three sections empty. One has chopped carrot in it. The other has what can only be described as a posit of brown dog vomit and an insole liner of a sneaker (or a used panty liner from the mid 1700s). The kind of meal that would have you happily tossing yourself overboard.

NEW: Growing fears of food shortages on USS Tripoli & other US ships in the Middle East.

This photo is the kind of meals now being served. It was sent by a sailor to her family.

Families are now trying to send food parcels to the ships.

Am I the only person that feels like melon in precut fruit salad is just a cheap filler?

He's nauseatingly cute, he knows it, he works it to the extreme.

That's one of the hardest things about growing up, the sudden realizations about how the things that are promised to us as kids, the things we expected, just don't exist. That, and adults don't have any more of a clue than the kids do, they just fake it.

Props to them for recognizing how things are vs what we're told they are/should be. Maybe not the best time of the day for deep thinking, but at least they're thinking.

This is the same Marvel that hollowed out its entire Atlanta production wing, despite a decade of tax subsidies and literal museum exhibits down here about their “contributions to Georgia arts.” to quote Stephanie Sterling, “the problem is these people don’t want money. They want all the money.”

"I want to support the artists" isn't even a valid reason to go to so-called blockbusters at the theater anymore. The studios don't even want to support the artists. The artists are just another roadblock between them and an optional fifth bathroom on the CEO's brand new yacht.

What's church like now, 2 hours? How many people are going to show up with stuff that should be kept cold and will be left out of the fridge or a cooler during church, due to space constraints?

They are asking for their Trumptastic potluck to have a food poisoning incident.

It really is. And it leads to this whole "well, you're with us or you're not" kind of logic for some people. Okay, you're not gonna be with us for eternity, so you're out of the family.

I'm so sick and tired of all these corporations deciding to get rid of their in-house teams in order to try to save a few bucks.

For all the "forever family" talk, it is fairly telling just how much of it is lip service for so many people.

I'll never understand why people think this is feminism.

Hey, ladies, it's for your own safety, really, just as long as you comply & have the genes to make you look a certain way, & you're willing to completely give up any real autonomy about how you act & dress. Just be a good little clone.

I really enjoy that book. At one point, I got a copy of it (unabridged) as an ebook because I figured it'd be great on a flight (I'd read it before that point, just figured it was a good use of my time). It kept crashing my ereader when I'd try to open the file. 😆

The other cat is the snuggler. Pierre is trying to commandeer my pillows.

KB sleeps under the covers a lot, sits on my lap, and loves to be carried around like a football. Pierre does not want any of that, he sits beside you for scritchies. He's very social, an extrovert, but it's on his terms.

You'll get essays on all sorts of societal issues, the history of Paris sewers, extra history tidbits...

Hugo has a lot of opinions (most are hard to argue with) and he makes great points. He just gets a weeeeee bit distracted sometimes.
