Currently playing the Mega Man StarForce collection and gameplay is as good as I remember. The story isn’t quite there but I’m sure it’ll pick up the further in.

I’d burnt out on these games by release due to the Battle Network series.

Hopefully we get a Legends collection next 🙏

Yeah I’m really hooked on it now where as my first try of it just really did nothing for me. Not even gotten to the Sega Villains DLC yet which I believe to be excellent

I have to apologize to Sega for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, I played the first hour or two when it launched and I was in a very bad place mentally.

Finally picked it back up tonight due to the dlc dropping and yeah the game is awesome, itching to get back to it!

I will say the reception around Legacy of Kain: Ascension has the one positive that people are being slightly kinder to Blood Omen 2 which has always been a true guilty pleasure of mine

Reduced load times and a mod to put subtitles in makes this perfect!

Never played the PC port of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen so I think we change that tonight

I’m reviewing the game so shouldn’t really say too much but as a LoK fan it begs the question, should the franchise have just stayed dead?

Legacy of Kain: Ascension is legit depressing. Outside of the soundtrack it’s just this really bland platformer that goes through the story of the terrible graphic novel, forcing an OP Mary Sue down the necks of those of us weak minded enough to buy it in the vein hopes of the series returning

I’ve alotta love for the P3 party as a whole, I’ve never really clicked with the Phantom Thieves or the Scooby Doo crew.

Brief break from Turok 2 as level 2 was exhausting and the Romeo is a Dead Man coverage has got me itching to get my Suda on again so it’s time for…..

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

Been itching to replay this and just found the perfect excuse

You gotta love standing on business! I never really got into the multiplayer on that but I LOVED Rage Wars

I REALLY need to pick this up, I keep seeing it and thinking that it’s my jam but not pulled the trigger yet

I’ve really enjoyed actually getting into the series properly so far, see if this enthusiasm of mine lasts till Evolution or even the reboot!

I wasn’t expecting all gold. Turok 1 had “The Catacombs” which was a horrible experience.

Level 2 has started promising with the Triceratops section.

Level 1 felt really well made, the combat has just the right feeling and degree of crunch to it.

We have a little more story going on now too.

Joshua Fireseed looks absolutely out of it in cutscenes which is a laugh, overall I can see me really REALLY enjoying this finally

Started Turok 2: Seed of Evil last night, another game I had on N64 but outside of the Cerebral Bore and lingering memory of absolutely huge levels it hasn’t left much of an impression.

After playing it last night and getting level 1 done, I love it, only the movement isn’t quite as good as 1

Jesus you aren’t half going through it, my youngest decided to spend Boxing Day throwing up everywhere which just added to the usual family drama

Finished now and level 5 is an absolute enjoyment killer which is a shame because the last 3 levels are easily some of the best the game has to offer, especially The Lost Land.

Bad guy was a weird Shao Khan clone that went down easy enough.

Agree with my original assessment 6/10

So I had this back on the N64 and remember being a bit meh on the game.

Now I can appreciate the movement and combat, the approach the developers were going for putting a “boom shoot” onto N64 but I can also see where their short sightedness comes in.

I’m halfway through and it’s a solid 6/10

Our views started dropping a lot and couldn’t get any new writers, really killed enthusiasm with the ones left.

I’ve got writing gigs at two other places but always open for new horizons

Holy shit, I’m getting 60fps on Kingpin Reloaded again!

Don’t suppose any website is looking for a freelancer to cover the Megaman Star Force Collection on Switch?

My usual haunt has shut down and the other places I write for already have it taken.

Happy to write just for the code.
