I would have thought that retirees are economically active as they pay tax on their pensions?
Well, his father is the Head of State for Australia, which may be why the Guardian is posing the question?
Affected me big time, with my ‘disability’ which is not always noticed, making social environments difficult or avoided.
The real issue is recruiting GPs before thinking about building surgeries that local authorities include in their planning decisions.
When will he meet Putin?
Good riddance to Orban. Will Putin continue to fund his large mansion now?!
I’m not a fan of Starmer but can’t help thinking that it is not so politically clear cut. Agree that allowing US to use our bases didn’t help matters but as a small island nation, we are dependent on the US. Even previous PMs have been at US behest, notably Blair.
I think the inability to read is not Trump’s most obvious impediment. Inability to rational thinking is certainly one of many.
Your post said Iran stepped in. Iran only agreed when Pakistan intervened. I’m sure the EU have expressed their views diplomatically while Iran resents the West so the UK & EU are on a back foot - Pakistan is neutral in this regard. Despot Donald also chooses who he listens to. Hope ceasefire holds.
Not quite. Just need to add “Dear Trump” to the top!
No. Pakistan facilitated the ceasefire, not Iran.
They omitted to add “Dear Trump”
Obama was a President that played safe, spent time getting his novels printed, without jeopardising the Nobel Peace Prize all whilst Putin annexed Crimea under his watch. Two very different extremes between DJT and Obama - one so laid back and another completely cuckoo.
Glad Zelenskyy didn’t listen to those that advised him to ease the attacks on energy. Keep it up Ukraine 🇺🇦
And the F35s from RAF Lakenheath
A Government that needs a “Cost of Living Tsar” is a government out of touch and not fit for purpose.
He was given a custodial sentence and it will go on his record as such. Custodial sentences can either be immediate or suspended.
International law doesn’t recognise the bombing of another sovereign state. Instead, you should be advocating that the US should have sought a UN resolution. You can’t pick and choose which laws to comply with.
Politicians of all colours seem well versed in a lot of C words. Condemn being one of many, alongside Corruption. Feel free to add more C words to their repertoire.
Ukraine intelligence service.
A brilliant idea, it’s only 4-years or so since issuing the first sanction!
Our politicians are really thick and incompetent. One would expect this to be a fundamental basic requirement in public sector procurement. More common sense in ordinary folk!
What a great idea! Why issue sanctions for the last 4 years without any meaningful enforcement?!
The cognitive cogs of those that support Reform do operate rather slowly. The penny starting to drop…
Grounds for immediate suspension.
Excellent work 👏👏
In my personal experience, they don’t help. I was in Georgia when Russia attacked in 2008. Despite making my presence known to the British Embassy and advised that they are organising a coach to Armenia they didn’t inform me of its departure so I stayed during the conflict!
If being attacked by missiles, any response would be defensive until threat is eliminated. I believe the RAF are tasked to shoot down missiles/drones heading towards Qatar or Cyprus, where we have bases.
Communicate. Simples.
