I did this stats page for the Golden Knights playoff section in Sunday's RJ. I also did the rest of the pages, but I compiled all elements of this page in particular.

I don’t think much of the job the referees are doing in this Knights-Mammoth game. If they are working the whole series, I would be worried for the safety of these players and the fairness of their calls.
It would also be really nice if Hertl gets one too. Not just because the Knights need him to contribute to win, but also because he’s been on a brutal scoreless streak.
It is great to see Sissons contributing on offense, but the Knights can’t repeat the thing that sunk them last year: The disappearance of several key players from the goal sheet. It’s nice that Eichel and Marner can set everyone up, but they make the big bucks to show up and score in these moments.
Buffalo just buffaloed Boston so hard. I need a Sabres miracle run in the playoffs this year (especially since I think a long Knights run isn’t going to happen.)
Adin Hill is on the bench as the backup goalie for the Knights because he’s earned the right from past playoff runs. Statistically, I’d rather Akira Schmid get the net if something happens to Hart, be it injury or ineffectiveness.
That, my friends, is an umpire who is so, so, so over working this game.
- Mitch Marner could've been better. For the money, he should've had more points, but the possession metrics suggest things are just fine.
- Pavel Dorofeyev is the perfect finisher alongside the Knights' stable of high-caliber distributors and puck carriers.
(3/3)
- This might have been Mark Stone's best season yet from a statistical perspective.
- Tomas Hertl's -17 plus-minus this season is inexcusable.
- It is shocking how much better the Knights were when they got even league-average goaltending.
- This team was missing William Karlsson so badly.

Some things I realized from digging into the Golden Knights stats for a thing in tomorrow's RJ:
- Noah Hanifin's defensive stats were a lot better this year than it seemed.
- It wasn't the defense; Adin Hill really was that bad in net.
- Brandon Saad's season also really was that bad.

She is definitely the sweetest.
Really, much of my ire in the trade is for Colton Sissons, who has struggled this year and might not be an NHL-level player anymore. The Knights likely wanted Lauzon and the salary relief, and had to accept Sissons in the trade.
Jaycob Megna having a -4 as a defenseman in five games with no points for the Knights is impressively bad.
Teenage me thought this card was so good.
In the postseason, the Knights' odd defenseman out can't be Ben Hutton or Kaeden Korczak. It has to be Jeremy Lauzon. Hutton and Korczak did more this year. It's time to admit defeat on the deal that brought Lauzon and Sissons to Vegas, cut bait after the season, and find better down-lineup players.
People lie to soften certain blows. I get it, but I don't have to like it.
For all I know, the Knights may be good enough to win a Cup with some halfway decent goaltending. But their roster has a lot of contract bloat that didn't produce at an expected level during the regular season.
I like the idea or pairing him with Ian Chesterton for some sagas-based shenanigans.
I am not sure how the Golden Knights fix this situation next season. They have so many no-movement clauses and high-dollar players under long contracts that they are just stuck with right now.
The Kings and the Warriors both lost tonight, despite playing each other.
Sir, what is your read on Steyer? My brain says he’s fake and a pretender, but my gut feeling is to give him a chance without good reason to do so.
Sir, this is a Wendy’s
What in the world are we even doing here.
I'm not sure Tortorella is entirely the reason the Golden Knights have suddenly won four straight, but I think the shakeup of firing a well-respected coach whom the players seemed to have tuned out has worked. Also, playing three games against cupcakes and one against a scuffling rival helps too.
As a Cadbury Creme Egg fiend, I hard disagree.
I wonder quite often these days in a change of scenery would do me some good.
I still don't think very much of Carter Hart. The goalie or the person.
