One night before the elections the great people of Hungary are on the streets, rejecting the malicious influence coming from Russia, Serbia and certain people from the USA. The crowds are huge across the country. They can write history tomorrow.

The EU should enlarge to Canada (and Ukraine and the UK). It would be in the economic and strategic interests of all concerned.

Twelve years and one month ago, Russia invaded Ukraine. It was no coincidence that among the most visible protestors against the Russian occupation of Crimea were the Crimean Tatars. From their painful history since the first annexation of Crimea under Catherine II in 1783,

they knew what Russian colonialism does to indigenous communities.
As of now, there are nearly 300 Ukrainian civilians from Crimea being illegally detained by Russian occupational forces, including 159 Crimean Tatars. Among them is Appaz Kurtamet. He is Russia's youngest civilian prisoner.
