At ISCycle, we’re definitely the bike-brain type.
Today we carried out field testing at the Limerick Greenway using a range of ebikes (2wheel ebikes, trikes, and a duo bike) to assess their suitability based on mobility needs identified in earlier focus group findings with older adults and parents. 🚲⚡🔋👵👴👨👩👧👦

I enjoy this a lot, but in our @iscycle.bsky.social research, we've really found that bakfiets are not for everyone, especially if you are shorter or less confident, and they're not as good for taking a second adult as a longtail

Short field observation in Dublin (20 minutes): 5 cars parked in the bike lane→ 1 obstruction every 4 minutes
Interpretation:
The bike lane functions as parking when convenient
Implication:
Cycling infrastructure exists, but access is conditional

The National Transport Authority has released the Walking and Cycling Index 2025 today. The latest survey findings show that walking, cycling, and wheeling in the Limerick Metropolitan Area take up to 33,000 cars off the road each day.

We let participants choose the accessories they need. In this case, they chose these customised accessories because they’re practical. They can be removed easily when they’re not needed, which makes the bike more adaptable to daily use.
Yet another customised bike for a parent! We love seeing how much more kids enjoy the ride when they’re dropped at school by bike.
