Love you all (well, most of you. (Some of you)). Back in a bit, promise. x
P.S. I may well change my mind and just be back calling everyone cunts tomorrow. Who knows.
p.p.s Thank you, those that checked in, probably should have posted this sooner.

So I'm going to delete the app again for a bit, at least for a few days. And see if I can listen to music, read, watch a film and stuff without constantly scrolling at the same time. Buying a sports car would probably have been easier but why take the easy route?
The "list 10 things you hate", the occasional almost gleeful announcements that somebody, somewhere has done something terrible/stupid and interminable food discourse is not what I need right now. And it's completely fucked up my ability to concentrate for longer than 2 minutes.
So rather than buying a sports car I suppose I'm looking for some meaning. Or at the very least trying to find what makes me happy and concentrate on that for a little bit. (This is *not* in an "oh, what's the point anyway" way, it's genuine curiosity.)
Dealing with the existential questions that arise when you reach a certain age, realise that time is no longer infinite, like it seemed when you were in your 20's/30's, and start to wonder what you have achieved and will be remembered for.
Granada TV Test Card.
Evenin'. Tldr: I'm ok, just having a social media break, back soon.
Slightly longer version follows
Kaki King refusing to play the guitar the "normal" way and being l, frankly, incredible.

I'm not all choirs and orchestras. Have an absolutely tremendous Welsh wall of noise. Saw them in Brussels, Ritzy was leaning right over the crowd with her guitar. Tremendous stuff.

Ah, Nic ,so sorry to hear that. Hope they are looking after you and that they get to the bottom of things quickly. x
I'm very much here for pretty OTT trash.
This is the one review that has made me now want to see it.
Johnny's review has tipped me into the "I need to see this" camp.
I tried the silicone, I like it for a first mix of dough, at lunch doing scrambled eggs but for some reason it doesn't feel right for other stuff.
Finally spending the cash on a proper knife was a true eye opener for me. It makes such a difference.
Yes.
They really are. Simple, comfortable and practical.
"cute"? Don't undersell yourself.
Well, I can't really argue with that.
*Scratches arse*
Q: I heard a tale from the making of “Network,” that while you were filming up high in those office buildings, you were mooning people on the streets below. ROBERT DUVALL: Could have been. We did a lot of mooning in “The Godfather.” Big time. I remember I was driving Jimmy Caan, and Brando was walking down the street, and Jimmy’s got a little ass and big shoulders: “Stick your ass out the window and get Brando.” Coppola would say, “Come on, guys, we’ve got to be serious here.” He liked it, though, because it relaxed the set.
RIP Robert Duvall. I hope you and Jimmy Caan are mooning Marlon Brando, wherever you are now. www.nytimes.com/2014/10/05/m...
Ah, vale. 95 is a good age and what an actor.
Vaguely healthy(ish) too!
Dinner, egg, asparagus and salmon.
Pan fried asparagus, smoked salmon, homemade vinegrette and a fried duck egg.
After several years, my old one spilt in two. It was hard to say goodbye.
A cheap wooden spatula.
After my favourite wooden spoon* broke, I tired out several replacements. You know what my preference is? This, 50p from IKEA.
*Come on, everyone has a favourite spoon/stirer.
Don't they?
I really don't think you can understate Fessenden's impact on genre filmmaking. Be it as writer/director or producer, he's involved in some amazing work. And if a film features him in a cameo, it's an added bonus.
And, respectfully, phwoar.
"almost"?
I have thick hair.
On my ears. 😕

Well, that looks fab. Really suits you.
All right, just because you have hair, no need to rub it the faces of us who are follicularly challenged.
