Day trips that blow minds:
• Paracas + Ballestas Islands (sea lions & penguins)
• Huacachina desert oasis (sandboarding!)
• Pachacámac ruins
Pro tip: Go hungry. Lima is the gastronomic capital of South America.
Pisco Sour, Lomo Saltado, Anticuchos, Causa… you’ll eat your way through this city and love every second.
Must-do in Lima:
• Watch paragliders over the Malecón at sunset
• Eat ceviche so fresh it’ll ruin all other ceviche forever
• Wander the colourful streets of Barranco
• Visit Huaca Pucllana (pyramid in the city!)
Where to stay:
• Miraflores → perfect first-timer base with ocean cliffs
• Barranco → bohemian, artistic & nightlife heaven
• San Isidro → quiet luxury
All walkable + safe.
Lima doesn’t whisper. It sings.
Grey skies, dramatic Pacific cliffs, colonial balconies, and the smell of grilled anticuchos in the air. This city is refined AND raw and currently one of the best food cities on Earth.
Lima, Peru
Just dropped a brand-new travel guide to Lima, Peru’s incredible capital that’s equal parts chaos, class, and world-class food
From cliffside sunsets to 1500-year-old pyramids in the middle of the city, here’s why Lima should be on your 2026 list:

The last wild stretch of the Mediterranean is waking up.
Don’t wait until it becomes the next Santorini.
Save this thread. Go while it’s still perfect. 🇦🇱

Eat grilled fish by the kilo, drink local raki, swim in water so clear you can see 10 metres down.
A proper seafood dinner for two with wine = €30-40. Yes, really.
Where to base:
→ Himarë = my favourite (authentic + beautiful)
→ Ksamil = postcard views + party
→ Dhërmi = dramatic cliffs
How to get there:
- Fly to Tirana → drive/furgon
- Best way: Ferry from Corfu to Sarandë (insanely beautiful)
Best time? May–June or September.
Swimmable sea, empty beaches, golden light. July-August is fun but busy.
Imagine Caribbean colours but in Europe.
Ksamil’s islands, Himarë’s castle village, Gjipe Beach hidden in a canyon, and the insane Blue Eye spring.
This coast is still raw. Still real. Still cheap.
The Albanian Riviera is what Greece was 20 years ago.
Crystal water, mountains diving into the sea, fresh octopus, and prices that still feel illegal in 2026.
I just wrote a full guide. Here’s why you need to go before everyone else finds out →

#Sossusvlei #Namibia #TripOnly
Where to stay?
Inside the park: Dead Valley Lodge or Sesriem
Outside: Sossusvlei Lodge
Campers are welcome too, but park accommodation is best for early entry.
How to get there?
5-6 hours by 4x4 from Windhoek. The last 5 km is deep sand — take the shuttle or drive if you’re experienced.
Stay inside the park for sunrise access. That’s the game changer.
Best time to visit: June to September (cold nights, perfect light).
Days are hot, mornings & evenings are cold — layer up!
Why spend 3 days here?
One day to see it, one day to feel it, and one day to realize you still haven’t seen enough.
Climb Dune 45, conquer Big Daddy, and stand in Deadvlei where time feels frozen.
Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Namibia
Sossusvlei… One of the oldest deserts on Earth. Those giant red dunes you see in photos are even more impressive in real life — and way quieter.
325-meter-high sand mountains, Deadvlei with trees that haven’t seen rain since the 13th century, and absolute silence at sunrise.

Pro Tips:
Best time: May-June or September-October (fewer crowds, perfect weather)
Water is cold but incredibly clean — swim!
Try local Ohrid trout and Macedonian wine
Cheap compared to Western Europe — big value
Byzantine ruins, stunning frescoes, and the spiritual heart of the Slavic world. Ohrid was once called the “Jerusalem of the Balkans”.
Wander cobblestone streets, Ottoman houses, ancient amphitheatre, and the beautiful lakeside boardwalk. Feels like stepping back in time.
Climb up for panoramic views over the entire lake and old town. Sunrise or golden hour here hits different.
Church of St. John at Kaneo
The most iconic view in Ohrid. 13th-century church sitting dramatically on a cliff over the lake. Pure magic at sunset.
