Lori, a small, tan pup with a scruff of white on her chest, is held closely by a person in a black vet scrub. we can tell from Lori's expression she is a bit scared and not sure what to expect.
an x-ray image of Lori's lower torso shows her left hind femur has popped out of her hip socket, the result of being hit by a car.
another angle of Lori, who is lying down inside an exam pillow while her head and hind legs are handled by two vets.
This is Lori. She was wandering the streets as a stray when she was hit by a car. It caused her left hind femur to come fully out of her hip socket. Sheβs in severe discomfort and needs surgery followed by physical therapy to walk pain-free again. You can help her below β€οΈβπ©Ή

Don't forget, April 16th is National Librarian Day in the U.S.
If I were still working, I would appreciate gifts of chocolate. Maybe other librarians would too.
UPDATE: L.L.Bean YOUR voices were heard.
After significant pushback from the outdoor community, L.L. Bean is joining the Save the Forest Service movement. Their LinkedIn statement says it all:
France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.
Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars
The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?

@5calls.org Let Congress know - we the people find it utterly reprehensible to have a demented, pathetic, narcissistic rapist as President, nor do we appreciate a cowardly do-nothing legislature that prefers their own insider trading profits over the Constitution of the United States of America
An upcoming Montana ballot referendum would deny corporations the power to spend in state and federal elections.
If it passes in deep red Montana, it could pass anywhere. State by state, this could effectively nullify Citizens United. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1fPbGHe3xE
Today's #goodnews is Stephen Colbert auctioning off all the stuff they've accumulated at the Ed Sullivan Theater over the last 11 years & a commemorative T-shirt of his last show.
Everything raised goes to World Central Kitchen that feeds people all over the world in times of crisis. π
