good morning: nobody has built a more compelling mobile park bench than Fiat coachbuilders

Slightly in love with this Alfa Romeo 75 fire safety car on standby at Verano circuit.
Just 9,000km from new β although almost all of them driven on-trackβ¦
You've just reminded me of when I saw the Ford GT90 at the Royal College of Art when I was a kid. That thing blew my mind. I vividly remember sticking my finger in one of its tailpipes as I was curious if it was a running car or not. Finger came away covered in soot, which answered that question. π
Interesting bit of (niche) automotive history here. Coming up for auction soon. No reserve!

(Yes, I did briefly think about putting a Zetec in it... π)

A few more Rustival shots. Realised I've not really seen many of the new Pandas, so it was interesting to see three generations together.
Neat! I'd like to try one of these at some point.
But hopefully still in one piece!
(But that aside, I really did like it. Reminded me of my mum's KJ-generation Cherokee: real bit of heft to it, quite easy to work on β although I wouldn't want to change the clutch in the FL β and a lot better than most would give it credit for in quite a few other respects, too.)
I suspect it's a different colour now. π
(See most recent post.)
No early retirement for this Freelander, though: after I'd done some mechanical work to it, my partner and I shipped it to #Ukraine and donated it to the army.
It's now serving on the front lines.

I didn't spend ages on the engine bay, but I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Turns out that a Β£300 Land Rover Freelander can look pretty presentable with some elbow grease.
Really quite sweet to drive, too (Td4 Sport): pleasingly hefty steering, decent handling and ride, solid BMW M47R diesel, spacious and comfortable.
I wouldn't object to another.

Cheers! I'll find out soon... π
Ack. Sorry to hear that what should be relatively straightforward has turned into what sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Hope it goes back together a bit more smoothly!
Stop tempting me.

I can't tell exactly but, looking at the pics, it looks like I used a Sandtex masonry paint from Screwfix (would track, because that's where I got everything else from). One of the brilliant white ones. I think they do other colours, too.
Black is a really bad colour for a Seven as these things can hide in people's mirrors and behind A-pillars at the best of times, but this does look absolutely brilliant in this spec www.carandclassic.com/l/C2046845
I can't recall what I used (probably still have some somewhere) but it went on very easily and quickly. Made the job gratifying, rather than annoying. No prep or prime, IIRC.
Also the timing belt, tensioner, and a few other odds and sods. But yes, effectively. Just freshening everything up so there aren't any question marks. ππ
Will be getting back to work on another project tomorrow. Plenty to do, as you can see...
Agreed. It's a shame.
My thoughts exactly! π
Damn. So inconsiderate. And very frustrating!
Quick trip into town. Stopped in the usual, quiet car park. Come back to find a new, fairly sizeable deep scratch on the passenger door.
*Sigh*
