ICE while at the Sundance Film Festival: "What's going on in our country right now is absolutely horrific with what the federal government, Trump's government, Kristi Noem, ICE. What they're doing is really the worst of the worst of humanity."

Love the kitchen towel.
In the center is an elliptical galaxy, seen as an oval-shaped glow around a small bright core. Around this is wrapped a broad band of light, appearing like a spiral galaxy stretched and warped into a ring, with bright blue lines drawn through it where the spiral arms have been stretched into circles. A few distant objects are visible around the ring on a black background.

Hey NYTimes — *now* you’re lighting the beacons? NOW?!? After months of “Sauron: Avatar Of Evil… Or Extreme Uniter?” thumbsucker reporting you’re screaming what we’ve known since 2015? Fuck all the way off.
Major breaking trans news: The States of Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon have sued the Trump administration to block it from enforcing a national gender affirming care ban for those under 19 years of age.
This is the second major lawsuit over Trump's trans ban EO.
Docs to come.
Is it just me, or does the SNW lab kinda look like a redress of Discos Engineering?
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, The Vampire Slayer.
Sarah’s full statement: “So... you might have heard some news this week, but I realize you haven't heard from me. Three years ago, I got a call from my dear friend and mentor, Gail Berman. She told me that she wanted me to sit down with Chloé Zhao to hear her take on a potential "Buffy" revival. I was blown away that Chloé even knew who I was, but, as I've always done, I told Gail that I just didn't see a way for the show to exist again. We'd always been aligned on that, but this time Theard something different in her voice. I eventually agreed to go (mainly just to meet Chloé) and our twenty minute coffee quickly turned into a four hour adventure. We laughed, we cried, but mostly we both talked about how much this show means to us. While I didn't agree to anything at that meeting, I did shock myself by agreeing to continue the conversation. These conversations did, in fact, continue over the next few years and eventually we added the incredible Nora and Lilla Zuckerman to our little tribe until ultimately, one day, we landed on an idea. Thave always listened to the fans and heard your desire to revisit "Buffy" and her world, but it was not something I could do unless I was sure we would get it right. This has been a long process, and it's not over yet. I promise you, we will only make this show if we know we can do it right. And I will tell you that we are on the path there. I feel so lucky to be on this journey with these four unbelievably talented women, all of whom love "Buffy" as much as I do. And as much as you do. Thank you to all the fans who never stopped asking for this. This will be for you.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar confirms the upcoming ‘Buffy: The Vampire Slayer’ reboot:
“I have always listened to the fans and heard your desire to revisit Buffy and her world. […] Thank you to all the fans who never stopped asking for this. This will be for you.”

Hubble has captured this image of the nine rings of LEDA 1313424, nicknamed the Bullseye! 🎯
Its observations helped confirm a blue dwarf galaxy (seen to its left) flew through the Bullseye 50 million years ago, leaving these rings behind.

A star forming region with a huge gas structure. The gas appears red and orange, with some beige veil all occupying the whole picture. On the bottom left, a bubble like structure can be seen: it has been carved by stellar winds of young massive stars. Hundreds of dots can be seen everywhere: they are stars!
A focus on the bubble structure: dozens of stars can be seen, with two of them being bigger than the rest. Some pillars can be spotted in the gas structure, this is where new stars are being born.
In these dark times, I will continue to brighten your TL with some astronomy pics! 🔭
This is N159, a star forming region in the LMC, as seen by Hubble in 2014 (and processed by me obviously).
There are many beautiful details, such as these pillars in the bubble ✨

A mostly red nebula resembling a jellyfish, due to the supernova remnant portion in the upper right interacting with other molecular clouds in the lower left
Another one from Starfront Observatories, and my last image with the RedCat51 + 533MM combo, this is the Jellyfish Nebula. The Jellyfish is an interesting case of a supernova remnant interacting with surrounding molecular clouds, giving it it's unique shape.

The image features the star cluster NGC 602, which comprises a giant ring of dust clouds, colored in green, yellow, blue and orange. The green hues and feathery edges create the appearance of a crown of evergreen branches. Hints of red, representing X-rays, provide shading, highlighting the inner layers. The image is illuminated by dots and blobs of colored light, in shades of blue, gold, white, orange and red, representing the stars within the cluster. Some lights shine with diffraction spikes, others emit a diffuse glow. Many of the bright dots have spiral arms, indicating that they are, in fact, distant galaxies.

Unfortunately, I’ve never watched much 30 Rock… nothing against it and I did enjoy the bits I’ve seen though. Maybe I should finally give it a proper watch. 😁
