I am horrified to hear of the death of Giles Peaker or @nearlylegal.co.uk as he was better known to most people. Housing law was his world, and he changed it for the better. I shall miss him.

Awful news about Giles Peaker, @nearlylegal.co.uk, a brilliant legal blogger and a real pioneer.
A great figure in using the internet for the public understanding of law.
This is tremendously sad news
The inquest into the death of 5year-old Yusuf Nazir has adjourned on the first day of the hearing.
As I said outside court, the family will continue to do everything they can to find out the truth.

Can we stop politicians and officials abusing their powerful positions?
The Jeffrey Epstein and Covid procurement scandals may highlight a gap in the law. A public inquiry in Gibraltar could offer a solution.

🔥 🔥 A very strong statement from Transparency International on the McGrail Inquiry has just been published:
They say "it would be incredibly risky, maybe even reckless, to leave delivery to Mr Picardo. This is where the UK Government must step in."
