I was especially pleased that my client Wendy Smith was honoured for her courage in bringing the case that has led the government to repeal parts of the PCSCA 2022 and that the tireless campaigner Maggie Bendell-Smith was given the lifetime achievement award.

The real risk is fossil fuel dependency.

When we trawled data on excess nitrate & phosphate pollution (key drivers of algal blooms) we found agriculture was the primary source in rural areas, sewage in urban areas. As Chowns says, to save our rivers, we need to tackle both.
