Having one of those sucky days when I want to draw but can't come up with anything, so this ended up being kind of a practice. Sometimes everything feels difficult. Other times things feel easier.

Trying to find "trans clothing" and they call it 'CD'. I'm not trying to be anyone's fetish. I'm just trying to be comfortable with myself.

Our visibility is hard fought for and hard won. It means that we are still here - an undeniable fact of life, in spite of all attempts to force us out of public life

Drawing of a dancing cartoon character with a computer monitor for a head. Words "beepity boopity" suspended above it. Caption: When you're listening to someone make a series of statements, waiting for them to ask a question, and then they say: "...well?" and you realise that the question was implied even though nothing was phrased as a question.

It's not just that we need each other. It's that we are who we are because of each other, because of the strength, courage, and support we give each other to grow into ourselves.

Maybe one day, a version of me will exist who enjoys life and looks forward to the future, and is grateful for what past me did for her

A digital drawing of a feminine character based on the borg queen from star trek, yellow background with trans pride flag design. Caption: I want to feel complete. I want to feel human. I want to live a life that feels like an actual life, and not just a conveyor belt. I want to actually spend time, and not just watch it pass. As hard as it is to believe this is possible, I have to try.

My journey towards understanding my identity, to getting access to gender affirming care, to feeling like myself, has been difficult and still is. I'm alone, I'm scared, I'm grieving for a life I never got to have, but choosing to believe it's still possible.

I have thought about it. I've tried selling stickers before, but haven't done many 'borgqueendiva' stickers. I wasn't sure if people would want them. But yeah I do see the potential.

You should not have to feel gratitude to a society for finally giving you something that it deprived you of to begin with.

Frowning feminine character based on the borg queen from star trek, yellow background with trans pride flag design. Caption: "Trans rights are human rights" is not an empty slogan. You are human. You have rights. You should not have to earn them. Civil rights are not progress. They are the restitution of what should have always been.

I've been trying to think of the best way to articulate this. I think people should fight for equality, but I don't think they should feel like it's a reward, and I don't think societies should congratulate themselves. It should be the default. This applies for all marginalised groups.

Trans people should not have to make cis people comfortable. They should not have to be agreeable. They should not have to be exemplary. They should have the same rights as cis people, which cis people do not lose by being less than exemplary.

Cool ☺️ Would love to see that. This is an idea that I was doodling/sketching during the day and I feel like I must have seen something similar somewhere, which I've subconsciously 'assimilated'.

The Kurlan Naiskos is a shrine representing the community of personalities contained within a person, and was a core belief of the Kurlan people. Many versions of this artefact were made. This one was made by a craftsperson known only as 'The Master of Tarquin Hill' #startrek #tng

A comic with 6 panels showing a naked woman standing in front of a large mirror surrounded by a circle of flame. She gasps as she sees her reflection and exclaims that she is beautiful. A sinister and imposing alien then appears and she pleads "Not yet". The dream ends. 'She' wakes up. The final panel shows Ensign Harry Kim waking up, sad that the dream has ended.

This is an old comic I made on this day 2 years ago - 24/02/2024. Based on voyager episode "Waking Moments". I replaced Harry's dream with one of my own euphoria dreams πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈπŸ––

I like that idea. I often think certain religions alienate people from their emotions. Envy is seen as sinful, so you have envy compounded with the shame of carrying it. So the idea of treating it as a problem to be addressed and solved and not something shameful to be buried is an appealing one

1 month ago 2 0 0 0

Exactly. It's not useful. It doesn't serve a purpose. I think it has to go somewhere - be directed towards something, and I'm just trying to figure out how to do that. I hope that at least trying to identify it and its source goes some way towards resolving it

I get jealous of people doing well in ways that I'm not. I don't want to feel that way. I want people to be happy. I want to support them. I remind myself that these feelings are the result of my own dissatisfaction and insecurity. Another person's happiness is not the cause of my unhappiness

Totally. Don't get me wrong, the borg are bad. Something else that has always resonated for me is her need to be seen as a person and to find an equal who sees her the way she sees herself, but not being able to have that because she is a monster. And the body horror - *gestures broadly*

1 month ago 1 0 0 0

It's an idea that has always appealed to me, ever since I watched First Contact back in '96 - a body being just a thing you can wear, and a way to present yourself to others, and control how you are perceived
