It's not just that we need each other. It's that we are who we are because of each other, because of the strength, courage, and support we give each other to grow into ourselves.

Maybe one day, a version of me will exist who enjoys life and looks forward to the future, and is grateful for what past me did for her

My journey towards understanding my identity, to getting access to gender affirming care, to feeling like myself, has been difficult and still is. I'm alone, I'm scared, I'm grieving for a life I never got to have, but choosing to believe it's still possible.

I have thought about it. I've tried selling stickers before, but haven't done many 'borgqueendiva' stickers. I wasn't sure if people would want them. But yeah I do see the potential.

You should not have to feel gratitude to a society for finally giving you something that it deprived you of to begin with.

I've been trying to think of the best way to articulate this. I think people should fight for equality, but I don't think they should feel like it's a reward, and I don't think societies should congratulate themselves. It should be the default. This applies for all marginalised groups.

Trans people should not have to make cis people comfortable. They should not have to be agreeable. They should not have to be exemplary. They should have the same rights as cis people, which cis people do not lose by being less than exemplary.

Kurlan Naiskos 💖🖖

I like that idea. I often think certain religions alienate people from their emotions. Envy is seen as sinful, so you have envy compounded with the shame of carrying it. So the idea of treating it as a problem to be addressed and solved and not something shameful to be buried is an appealing one

Exactly. It's not useful. It doesn't serve a purpose. I think it has to go somewhere - be directed towards something, and I'm just trying to figure out how to do that. I hope that at least trying to identify it and its source goes some way towards resolving it

I get jealous of people doing well in ways that I'm not. I don't want to feel that way. I want people to be happy. I want to support them. I remind myself that these feelings are the result of my own dissatisfaction and insecurity. Another person's happiness is not the cause of my unhappiness

Totally. Don't get me wrong, the borg are bad. Something else that has always resonated for me is her need to be seen as a person and to find an equal who sees her the way she sees herself, but not being able to have that because she is a monster. And the body horror - *gestures broadly*

It's an idea that has always appealed to me, ever since I watched First Contact back in '96 - a body being just a thing you can wear, and a way to present yourself to others, and control how you are perceived

It's headcanon now, at the very least 😂
