Bridgerton has too much lust and sex for my tastes…it often seems completely unnecessary. The reformed rake trope is not for me. I can’t help but think how much damage syphilis caused back in the day.

The Fighting Dragons of Ara, formally designated NGC 6188, is an emission nebula located about 4000 light-years away near the edge of a large molecular cloud in the constellation Ara (the Altar). The nebula was given its name for its resemblance to two ‘dragons’ emerging from within the ominous dark dust clouds to face off with one another. This image is of their ‘profiles’ pointed squarely at each other, captured by the DOE-built Dark Energy Camera (DECam) mounted on the Víctor M. Blanco 4-meter Telescope at the U.S. National Science Foundation Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, a Program of NSF NOIRLab. The reddish glow of the dragons’ backs is ionized hydrogen, ‘lit up’ by light from the bright young stars — only a few million years old — in the nebula. Of these young stars, 27 form the beaming open cluster NGC 6193 (in the upper left quadrant of the image, left of the image’s centerline), which gives a background glow that further defines the outline of the dragons. These young stars have also been blowing off intense stellar winds since they ignited, sculpting and shaping the gas and dust into the mythical ‘duel’ that we see today. Fun fact:
Hippocrates is credited with naming "cancer" as "karkinoma" because a tumor looked like a crab around 400 BXE

The constellation was identified & named by Ptolemy in the 2nd Century CE.

The tumor looks much more similar to a crab than the Y-shaped Star pattern ever did.

My least favorite thing about baking recipe books is that they like to use terminology like “scant cupfuls”, “seal and flute”, & “shape properly with spatula” that a beginner would be unfamiliar with.

Bookworm Problems:
I had a dream about a book and now I want to reread it.
The problem is, I’m in the middle of another perfectly good book I want to finish first.
Dream book is tempting me that it would be a quick itch to scratch like it’s not the first in a series.

Edgar Allan Poe really ruined it for anyone who just wants to show their bitter enemy something cool in a catacomb.
