I had this bookmarked & could have sworn it linked the whole treatment (maybe it did in 2005?) but regardless I’m so overly-pleased I could easily find the link & get a gift link from my friendly neighborhood librarian that I’m sharing the summary anyway 😂 www.nytimes.com/2005/06/05/a...
I threw a shot of espresso in my hot coco. Not very exciting.

Wheatpasted poster with Pete Hegseth’s face & “I’m not drunk, I’m just incompetent”
Someone wheatpasted this in our neighborhood last year & I regret not taking pics because they were gone in like an hour, tho I did get this one which I felt balanced the convo lol
With all the talk about #mummies these past few days, might we entice you with a horror anthology packed with all sorts of modern-day mummy stories? 👀

Congratulations!

What day isn’t made at least momentarily better by spontaneously intoning “The Horrors! Of Spider Island!” & then just going on about your business?

Sounds like our upstairs hall closet. It only happens when you’re walking past & immediately rounding the corner, so it’s a door opening both behind you & so you can’t see into the closet itself. I know it’s simply caused by weight on the floor boards of an old settled house but is it really?
Picture of Billy Idol, shirtless with text that says "IT'S A NICE DAY FOR A LIGHT SWEATER IT'S A NICE DAY FOR A CARDIGAAAAAN!!"
Pleasantly surprised to wake up and discover it is still chilly out, after we had random thunderstorms last night.
Very much enjoying the lack of hot weather here today
🤣🤣🤣

I’ll meet you on the night of the next full moon. You bring the candles, I’ll bring my diary of obsessive sketches, lore, & incantations. What could possibly go wrong!?!
Tuck this contact away for a rainy day: @miscelena.bsky.social is a fine human being & a genealogical wizard so if you ever decide you do want to try poking around she might have resources to suggest (privately of course).
Ah. Gotcha. And sorry, I think you’ve actually explained that to me more than once.
Jesus wept. Forgive me for “you should-ing”. But this generational citizenship path thing & all
You should track down this info in case you decide to try to bolt for Canada. Remembering my grandmother is was Canadian has been a tiny ray of light…
You mentioned a fiber fest not long ago that you’d go to if you knew someone to meet up & I’ve been meaning to message @jessnevins.bsky.social to see if they knew any fun & not-murdery knitters so now I can just mention it & quit meddling 🤣
Unbelievably, the 1st item is a yarn/weight & colorway I was recently wishing I had. And now I will soon 😂 Amazing. The odds of this seem vanishingly small. Look what I found on Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/4483...
Ok I’ve been in denial but I’m going in. Also tagging @acerbicotter.bsky.social because they’re practically neighbors (in SW geographic terms) & why didn’t I ever think of that before?
Love that sly grin
Thanks! Thats wild! I don’t remember any in West Virginia having structures on top like that but I also only really remember the mines my grandfather & uncles worked since we were only visiting. Fascinating.
Be careful what you wish for! Have you learned nothing!?! 😂
So cool. Thanks for sharing this photo - I’m intrigued!
Important thread showing where repatriation research can lead & how important it is to communities. ♥️ thanks for sharing this @artcrimeprof.bsky.social - I’m sniffling over my coffee now ♥️
