I had my first baby 6 months before COVID & my second 2.5 years in, & I basically didn’t go anywhere but the grocery store and our child-care bubble for 3 full years.

Second baby got COVID 2 weeks before he was eligible for the vaccine. It broke something in me.

I worked at a minimum-wage airport café for like a week in 2005 (only job I’ve ever quit without notice, over the phone), and I honestly can’t imagine most of them passing the background check for *that*.
