Its actually kind of scary because for as much pushback as their is for thr tech online, the average person seems either un-bothered by it or actively uses it. I don't like it.

She is easily one of the most irritating people I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have to repress my disgust every time she speaks. Once, she asked ME how to ask ChatGPT a question. She was literally like: "How would I ask ChatGPT that?" Nothing can prepare you for encounters like that.

I'd also like to mention how she kept referencing the fact that, with an incredibly clammy complexion, both her son and her had spent the weekend throwing up and they were both very sick.

Had my first work incident where a co-worker pinned me in place; showing me all of the AI generated images she "made" for her son's birthday. Absolutely ghoulish shit. She generated dozens and was swiping through all of the permutations. She's going to print them out from Temu. Those are his gifts.

Asking these freaks what they think of the gameplay and they look at me like this:

If you talk about design elements that you love instead of tearing down everything thay doesn't fit into that box, people will build an appreciation for those design elements instead of feeling attacked with every release.

Thays why, ultimately, I think the best way to discuss games is to focus on the things you like. Not because we shouldn't level criticism at things, but because you're not trying to be critical, you're trying to push everything to be designed in one specific way.

I still respect the people who focus mostly on deep tissue game design elements when discussing games more than narrative glazers, but the conversations are too frustrating and just end up sounding like the Courage the Cowardly Dog mac and cheese bit.

I hate how everyone talks about video games. On one side you have people who only talk about the narrative elements or culture surrounding the game. Then on the other side you have the people who care so much about game design that they rebuke anything that isn't literally Final Fight. Going to kms.

Pragmata has an incredible OST and it was composed by Yasumasa Kitagawa who was the lead composer on... Street Fighter 6? Talk about a glow up.

I tend to give Anpo shit sometimes because of Resident Evil 4 Remake, but he's been with Capcom forever and he also directed Resident Evil 2 Remake, which is goated, I fear. Also, part of me feels like he was brought onto this project to get it finished because it was in development hell.

Wait... Anpo co-directed Pragmata? That's pretty cool.

Yup, it's mostly just time consuming. Even then, once you get a workflow down for it, you can cut the medium as well. I like to cut out two or three decals at a time and keep them on a wet sponge.

Whenever I do a stealth kill in a game I pretend I’m doing an E3 presentation and say stuff like “We’re giving players the choice to approach combat in a variety of ways”

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think it was intentional on Capcom's part. I saw a post on Twitter where someone said that people used the emote constantly on posts and videos for the game and that they (Capcom) likely picked it based on that, not knowing it had any deeper connotations.

The amount of people who don't understand how dog whistles work or how insidious this is actively alarms me. The marketing used to promote a video game from a major AAA publisher was just hijacked by pedophiles and people are hand waving it away. Incredible. You are not immune to propaganda.

Today I learned that many people do not know what a dog whistle is and are that they are incredibly susceptible to disinformation.

Just finished watching Weapons and its easily one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Crazy because I had the ending spoiled for me and I was still so hooked. It's kind of a nasty, miserable film but it's also this compelling character driven drama. Clears Barbarian, easily.

Remap exceed to one of the face buttons instead of the trigger, for starters. Helps with thr timing immensely. Also, don't really worry about it too much as a beginner. Nero's strength is all in the Devil Breakers. Some are super strong and easy to use.
