My partner is doing the washing up for me while I do my hair, because he's the best.

He just sent me a photo of the scourer with washing up liquid on it, drawn in a heart.

He's cute. πŸ₯Ή

I'm such a sucker for handmade items. Never before used crocheted lemon coasters on Vinted? Yes please! I love them πŸ‹

No, *you've* spent 23 hours on Supermarket Simulator in the last week. Not me, honest.

Oh this is a good way to explain it! I say to kiddo that boredom is good for you, because it forces you to be creative!

Kiddo has 3 hours of screen time on Saturdays and Sundays. Usually he's very good at moderating his usage and spreading out his time.

Not this weekend. He's used it all up as soon as he got out of bed, both days, and all subsequent time has been filled with constant iterations of "I'm bored."

Previous generations of rich people knew that it was important for them to shut the fuck up and build libraries and parks and hospitals since that was the only way we would tolerate them in society. This generation of rich people have forgotten why this was necessary. We should remind them.

I love videos by people with ADHD who are like "I had this idea and then I just went out and got the supplies and look what I spent all day doing!"

Because girl same, except my projects take weeks because of chronic fatigue. My energy runs out faster than my hyperfocus πŸ’”

Yessss it's one of my fave things! Kiddo's room is next. We are changing his bed for a cute bunk bed for when his girlfriend comes to stay or my stepdaughter. He wants a forest room with everything frogs and mushrooms πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Thank you!!!! I'm so happy, this is the cosiest place I've ever had because I just purged everything we own down to what we actually use (I'm still going).

And the living room suddenly feels so much bigger because that's only one side, and the other side is clear for the kids to play!

A cosy living room. The 3 seater sofa is on the left of the photo with a chaise longue is grey-blue with off-white and yellow cushions on it. Behind the sofa are some ochre curtains and a grey multi photo frame on a grey wall. In the corner by the sofa is an uplighter floor lamp and a hobbycraft trolley with a tray on it to use as a side table.

On the back wall is a fireplace with grey tile and white wooden surround and mantlepiece. Opposite the sofa on the right wall is a white sideboard with a natural wood top and brass half cup handle. Above this is the TV, mounted on the wall, with a Nintendo switch and a white xbox on the sideboard itself.

Between the sofa and the sideboard with the TV is a yellow, cream and grey rug. On top of the rug is a drop leaf coffee table with a natural wood top, decorated with a white jug vase that has a single fake sunflower in it, and beside it is a copy of 1984 with a yellow cover.

In the other corner of the back wall, perpendicular to the TV is a white console table with matching natural wood top and brass half cup handles. The console table holds a 60L aquarium, and underneath the console table is a grey lidded cat litter tray.

I took the photo last night so I know it's dark, but look how cosy my living room is! I'm actually so proud of how it has come together.

I have spent weeks decluttering so that we could have a space that actually feels relaxing. This is what I've always wanted πŸŒ»πŸ’›

I have accidentally raised a mini anarchist. My ten year old says we shouldn't have a government at all because all the parties are corrupt and evil.

Pretty insightful for a kid who refuses to pour his own breakfast and loses his shoes on a regular basis.

Whenever my partner is sad or poorly, I send him dog videos or babies giggling and it cheers him right up.

is it good that everyone i know being made to find a use for AI at work is just having to manage the politics of the fact that they're expected to use it whilst fixing all of its mistakes? it seems to have the same impact on the workplace as a bad intern who's only there cause hes the CEOs son

Collage of 3 photos of a ginger cat relaxing on a grey-blue sofa, with a mustard yellow blanket behind him, a fluffy off-white cushion on one side of him and a yellow cushion in the shape of a lemon slice the other side.

In the top photo, the cat is curled up with his eyes closed. In the bottom left, the cat is sitting more upright, looking at the camera. In the bottom right, the cat is laying down again, this time stretching his front paws toward the camera person, eyes open and showing some of his tummy.

People really need to stop using AI. Critical thinking skills are at an all time low….

Thandiwe Newton's reading of Jane Eyre is truly incredible.

It is one of my favourite classic stories, but I have never listened to it as an audiobook before. I've always travelled the page with my own eyes.

I have no regrets. I only wish she had narrated more classics to enjoy πŸ₯Ί

Ooooh that's amazing, I didn't know! It was however mostly the fact that I have narrow doors and I have two that are opposite each other but don't actually line up, making it super awkward to get furniture through them.

Pretty much all of my furniture is either a decade old, or secondhand, or both. And that's wonderfully sustainable and frugal, but I'm thrilled to finally have something I picked out just because I can πŸ’–

It has taken us two hours to take a corner sofa bed from my living room to outside.

I am exhausted and I have caught my fingers too many times to be reasonable 😭

But my new sofa comes tomorrow and I am legitimately excited to have a sofa that I have chosen and bought brand new πŸŽ‰

You would think that the fact my sofa somehow made its way *into* my house, my friend and I would be able to take it back out.

Alas, my doorways are too narrow and now my friend has left to fetch tools to literally dismantle it πŸ˜‚
