with the particular themes Garland loves, I imagine the idea of a world where the dead and living are on equal footing is the strongest choice. Close second in my mind is Frenzied Flame, as an ending with everything burning/ending is also very Garland. Age of Stars in third pending scriptwriters.

to adapt elden ring I think there has to be a focus on a single path to lordship. there is simply not enough time, even if they go apocalypse now with screentime, to coherently cover the story as a whole. it comes down to which end Garland would find most compelling: I'd guess Death Prince for him.
