Klar, an einen Wunschkandidat_innen-Trick habe ich auch schon gedacht. Die Kriterien nach denen aussortiert wird, sind ja nicht besonders transparent. Zu meiner Person kann ich berichten, dass zu drei Gelegenheiten Zeiten als Stipendiat und Zeiten im Ausland mal eingeschlossen wurden, mal nicht.
Ja, ist schon ironisch. Zum Senior lecturer waere ich qualifiziert, aber da man vorher durch die befristete lecturer Phase muss, bin ich ueberqualifiziert. Man haette die Stelle als lecturer/senior lecturer in probation ausschreiben koennen. Aber nein, die Befristung nach WissZeitVG muss da rein.

I am from Sydslesvig. The extended family on my father's side are/were Danes. Went there often in my childhood. Never learnt to speak Danish unfortunately.
I don't think that greed and corruption is the primary motivator for the majority of national and EU politicians for not engaging in decisive action. I believe it is their lack of vision of an alternative status quo which is causing them to dither. This leaves room for those populist disruptors.
"Most certainly" is an understatement. What else do we need to finally accept (and to prepare ourselves accordingly) that the breaking up of the EU is one of their strategic goals of highest priority? Do we need an explicit declaration of war (would be stupid to issue, better leave some ambiguity)?
Das liegt auch daran, dass die GEW als Gewerkschaft fuer die meisten meiner befristet angestellten Kolleg_innen (sind neben der Forschung auch in Lehre und Pruefungen involviert) als ziemlich irrelevant erscheint. Anders als beispielsweise die UCU in UK.
Wuff! Ja, das Gefuehl kenne ich auch. Alle meine Kolleg_innen wissen, dass ich in der Gewerksachft bin und an Warnstreiks in den vergangenen Monaten teilgenommen habe. Leider fuehlt sich niemand, die Haelfte sind befristet angestellte EU-Auslaender, angesprochen, mitzumachen.
Hier liegt das Problem. Fuer viele Bildungsbuerger_innen in Akademia scheint Gewerkschaftsengagement irgendwie nur "igitt" zu sein. Aber ewiges Lamentieren wie ungerecht man/frau als nicht-verbeamtete Dozentin/Forscherin behandelt wuerde. Strong-worded-letters an Ministerien, die keine liest.
Ja, timing ist das Stichwort. Ich sage nur: Pruefungen und Notenvergabe. Was meint Ihr wieviele nicht-verbeamtete Forscher_innen bei Pruefungen und Notenvergaben zentral beteiligt sind. Betraefe sicherlich min. 3/4 einer Studi-Kohorte. Keine Pruefungen, keine Noten, keine Abschluesse.
Wer mit seinen Arbeitsbedingungen unzufrieden ist, muss beweisen, dass er oder sie ueber Macht verfuegt: in Gewerkschaft eintreten und zum Streik aufrufen. Wo ein Wille ist, da ist ein Weg. Stattdessen darauf zu hoffen, dass die politischen Akteure so lieb sind, sich zu kuemmern, ist nur peinlich.
Ist das ueberraschend? Nein. Solange niemand, den oder die es konkret betrifft, bereit sind auf die Barrikaden zu gehen, wird keine Bewegung in die Sache kommen. Weshalb sollte eine Berufspolitiker_in mit einem Versuch eines "Grossen Wurfs" die Chance auf spaetere Aemter gefaehrden?
