She starts that conversation by humble-bragging about her cooking skills, how diverse her repertoire of recipes is, etc., which is why she brings up khachapuri (a Tevinter dish in Thedas, not Dalish). Yeah, the character-driven/centric stuff all felt really believable and mostly compelling to me, but the meat of, like... the actual overarching narrative and the messaging/theme not only fell flat for me but felt completely at odds with itself, idk.

I mean this in the least smug way that I can, but I sensed something was awry with the writing as early as the prologue. Partially in a totally subjective "this chafes with my personal sensibilities" kinda way, and ultimately I kept going because I liked ENOUGH of the rest of the game, but man lol.
