Looking at Art with Peter Schjeldahl Recalling a friendship with The New Yorker’s late art critic.

A beautiful tribute to his friend, one art lover to another. I remember reading this when it was published. Thanks for posting. It’s perhaps better the second time around and has inspired me to grab one of Peter’s books off the shelf when I get home!

I was there! Still have the t-shirt. Listening to this always feels like summer to me.

So cool. I last saw Tiger in 2019 at the @metmuseum.org exhibition, “Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock and Roll.” I’m excited to see it again tomorrow! Hopefully the next time I encounter it it’s being played!

Sadly nothing for NYC. Looks like he hasn’t played here since 2022.

New painting video I shared on Insta a few day ago. Testing it out here on BlueSky. Hoping it keeps its vertical orientation and audio track.

I’m collaborating with Hearth Cabinet Ventless Fireplaces here in NYC. Schedule a visit to explore their fireplaces in their cozy flagship showroom in Chelsea and see my painting while there! More details:

Rest easy, Bobby. You gave us all so much. Our love will not fade away.

Photo I took when Bobby and The Wolf Brothers performed with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center back in 2022.

Last night was a blast! Happy New Year, Matt!

Me too. I think it’s new this year. Way better than a one hour Uber ride over the causeway that would have smashed my credit card!

I took the water taxi last night, it was great. It’s a free ride and our attendant sang to us along the ride!
