Yes, very much this. There's something deeply uncanny about looking through some of the more recent repositories that are entirely generated by LLMs. They have the shape of decades-old open source projects, but none of the intention.
Also I love markdown, I write everything in it (or in derivatives of it). Sucks to see it become the language of the slop machines.
I enjoy writing code as a hobby and I've always enjoyed digging through github to see how other people have solved problems, but the place is rapidly turning into piles of markdown files instructing LLMs to please not delete all the files on the computer
More perfect union: BREAKING: The Senate just passed the legislation allowing the devastation of the Boundary Waters. The motion passed 50-49, and now goes to Donald Trump’s desk.
Republicans just handed the Boundary Waters to a foreign corporation.
For the GOP, it’s foreign billionaires first, America last.

the fact that legislators are trying to say that computers are devices that require id verification and tracking to use should put fear into EVERYONE. FIGHT AGAINST THIS.
A cartoon of myself on a couch playing a Switch 2, definitely Pokopia as the little Ditto pops up in their own little word bubble. I’m saying, “Gotta make a little sofa for this Pokémon I’ve never heard of because I stopped paying attention after Gen 2 lol” Caption reads “Was minding my business today when I suddenly realized...”
In a panic, I exclaim, “I forgot to do my own publicity post for a book thing again!!!”

Page 1 of the comic "Swallowtail" by E. M. Fields. The first panel shows a vista from atop a high tower overlooking the surface of the Omegadungeon - a vast labyrinth world cloaked in permanent eclipse. A Drakencult soldier in rad draconic armor rushes to the balcony and points and shouts - "It's Swallowtail!" The titular thief, dressed in dark blue leather and with their iconic swallowtail cape, leaps from the parapet. They glance back at the pursuing soldiers, showing the snarling bronze demon mask covering the lower half of their face. The next six panels show a montage of the drakencult soldiers readying crossbows and firing at the fleeing, free-falling Swallowtail! Swallowtail falls towards a long red banner hanging from a neighboring tower, grabbing it at the last moment and swinging away from the hail of crossbow bolts. In the final panel they are running away, clutching a skeletal urn with gold coins spilling out of it as they make their escape...
The second, final page of the Swallowtail comic by E. M. Fields. Swallowtail runs down the spiral steps of the tower, drakencult hot on their heels. A hug, brutish drakencult soldier with a two-handed bardiche ambushes them from around the curve of the stairs, tackling them both off the edge as they land in a heap below. Struggling over the bardiche and Swallowtail's dagger, the soldier reaches towards them menacingly - "Now we'll see what's REALLY under that mask!" With his hand grasping the metal maw, Swallowtail barks back - "IT'S NOT A MASK." As the jaws of the 'mask' come to life and clamp down on the soldier's hand... The final panel is Swallowtail running towards the reader, urn and gold in one hand and dagger in the other, swallowtail cape streaming behind them, and the soldier's bloody hand gripped in their metal teeth.
SWALLOWTAIL.

“Connections” in comics is just you make friends when you’re a bunch of unknown dorks and then you all come up together! That’s usually all it is.
ok it costs like 3,000 dollars but the new Wacom Pro 17 looks so nice and chonky
