and don't just have one copy of your art saved somewhere. save a couple copies between multiple devices.

In my personal experience, making friends on the internet is a lot easier than irl, because you usually start with already having common ground, like liking the same fandom. Making a strong friendship is just about finding the right person, it takes many shots! So keep trying and you'll get there.
