In a moment of madness and clarity, it occurred to me that I've never seen anyone do spicy Vegemite.

The Vegemite and Buldak sandwich I just ate was amazing. Salty and sweet and spicy in perfect harmony.

This shit is how a hotel operator can honour the cultural requirement to supply tea and coffee in a room without ever having to restock the supply.

I used it to clone the remote to my old 90's car. Then I can use the Flipper app on my phone to trigger the Flipper in my bag - to the uninitiated it looks like I unlocked my ancient car with my phone.

The old app never used to just stop mid stream, requiring me to quit the app and resume playback from somewhere that wasn't where I was.

Core is donating profits from this weekend to the #lunchboxrally to raise money for the Cancer Council. They've put on a special Scottish-inspired menu to celebrate her Scottish-ness. Music: Clair de Lune - one of her favourite tunes".

If you're in Melbourne, please come down and raise some money in the most delicious way

core roasters | Core Roasters was born from tragedy, but lives on to celebrate. The community that’s come around us is one of the most beautiful things in... | Instagram we.are.core on May 22, 2025: "Core Roasters was born from tragedy, but lives on to celebrate. The community that’s come around us is one of the most beautiful things in the world, and brings us joy and hope that every day we can be better. We’re not shy about sharing who we are and where we’ve come from, because we are here on this big fucking crazy journey of life with you all. So for those who don’t know, Core began after we lost Michael’s mum, Fiona, to cancer in 2020. As a nurse, she dedicated her life to caring for those around her, and we work tirelessly to try and have Core be a reflection of this. We’ve had to watch as cancer has also fucked around SO MANY in our immediate community, so now it’s time to do something about it. This weekend, we are celebrating life, people, and flavour. Dani has created a menu celebrating some of Fiona’s favourite treats, so the cabinet will look a little more “Scottish” than usual. We’re also putting on a special menu of coffees, including some absolute stunners on our Filter3 list. The celebration will continue when we donate 30% of all sales across the entire weekend, and 100% from every Filter3, to the Cancer Council. This will go via the @shitboxrally, where Michael’s brother Simon has started his own tradition of raising funds and helping those around him. This is all a lot to take in, so if you need a summary here we go: this weekend. Bangin’ snacks, special coffees, and much love. Come treat yourself big time, and lots of money will be sent to help those battling through shit times. If you can’t make it but want to be an awesome human, you can always donate straight to @cancervic, or to the Shit Box Rally via @tour_defrank. Also, same as last year, 30% of all retail sales of Blendo in June will be donated as well. Blendo has always been our little nod to where Core came from. Unlike our other coffees showing the farm or producer that made the coffee, Blendo shows Queens View in Scotland, the last place Michael got to hang out with his mum. As always, special pastry menu will be announced tomorrow morning. Bring your dogs, buy some coffee and pastry for cancer, we will see you over the weekend. #fuckcancer xxx".
