Oh fantastic! I'll watch this tonight :)

Am I remembering correctly that you had writer's block on an earlier version of Old Skies? If so, what did you do to get through that, and also, how was the old version (Older Skies?) different to the final game?
Huge congratulations to our amazing friend James Harrison (the incredible composer behind THE BELLEMORE BOOGIE) for winning Best Contribution to Music in the 2026 Panto Awards! After seeing him in the Sheffield Lyceum's Aladdin last Christmas, it's easy to see why he won!
❤️🤡👻

This is an awesome surprise! Foolish Mortals has been shortlisted for Physical Release of the Year in the @debugmag.com Indie Game Awards @debugawards.com! I really packed as much into that box as I could, so it's lovely to see it get spotlighted!
A new point & click adventure game demo! And their Kickstarter is coming next week! (Feels like ages since there's been an adventure game Kickstarter...!)

Well I'll be! ROSEWATER is one year old today!
My original plan was to release an update with developer commentary, but I've been way too busy working on my new game. So instead, I'm going to do an all day AMA!
Ask anything about the game, the development process, or whatever else!
If you suddenly had a magical budget boost during development, what cut content would you want to add back in?
Dear Francisco, We are thrilled to announce that your talk submission has been accepted for NarraScope 2026! Here are the details for your session: Talk Type: Standard Presentation (45 min) Title: Going Union Part 2: How Indies Can Hire Top-Tier Talent And Not Break Their Budget
Excited to announce I’ll be speaking at Narrascope this summer!
A sequel to my 2023 talk, I’ll be explaining the new tiered budget agreements and recounting my experiences with Rosewater and Foolish Mortals.
Thank you :D I hope you enjoy it!
Professional VA doesn't even need to be that expensive. We voiced 8,000 lines of dialogue in our debut game with 13 voice actors, and did so as an actual SAG-AFTRA project. SAG were really easy to work with, and have a cost tier that understands indie game budgets. It was worth it.
Thank you! :)
That's tremendously kind, thank you :)
Yes! I think so many people have downvoted it, that it's become harder to find for everyone *else* who wants to downvote it. It's lovely that there are far more nice people in this community :)
Have you watched Last One Laughing?
We made one! It’s even available as DLC. The reviewer just didn’t want to listen to evidence.
The luck I need is to avoid people like that reviewer!
Thank you. The response from everyone has been wonderful, and really lifted my spirits after a few days of being really down about this.
“Look at the hands! That’s proof it’s AI!!”
No it’s not, dude. Artists have been making mistakes like this for centuries. All you’re doing is harming actual artists and - most importantly - not stopping actual AI use (because the AI bros don’t care and also love the attention). Don’t do this.
Thanks George! I've posted it on our Discord, and lots of people have kindly told me they've reported it :) Hopefully Steam does pay attention - my experience has been they only take stuff down if it explicitly breaks there TOS, and disinformation doesn't count. :/
I really appreciate the support, Dave. Thank you!
I am, indeed, the artist who made these pieces quite a few years ago.
Needless to say, I did not use AI, I have never used AI in any of my work. As @inklingwood.bsky.social puts it: AI wasn't even a thing you COULD use back in 2021
Haha, better late than never!
