โ debris where the bomb used to be.
โ other princess along as she leads her to the test site, where she sets off a bomb that implodes upon itself, dragging sticks, rocks, grass, flowers, even fully grown trees out of the ground and into the epicenter until everything crashes together.
When the dust settles, there's a massive pile โ
"Really?!"
She hadn't actually thought Mermista would be interested. Entrapta acts self-assured, but she's fully aware that people tend to find her... odd.
She's pleasantly surprised.
"Come with me!" She shouts suddenly. One pigtail shoots out to wrap around Mermista's forearm, tugging the โ
โ together, I mean. The service bot." She's usually chatty, but there's an unusual nervous edge to her words now.
She's honestly finding it slightly hard to focus at the moment.
โ close that they're breathing the same air, and if she leaned just a couple inches farther โ
She cuts the thought off the second she realizes she's looking at Hordak's lips. Blinking, she raises her eyes to once again meet his. "I would like that a lot, by the way. If we worked on it โ
โ now that she makes no effort to hide. "Is there a reason it only happens with me?"
She's often blunt, but this particular topic is one she tends to analyze on her own, reluctant to push her lab partner too much and have him shutting down on her. But now he's touching her. He's so โ
โ tender when he wants to be, it seems, and it's the fact that he ๐ธ๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ด to be that she's particularly focused on.
Her smile now is one she's directed at Hordak only a few times before โ smaller, private, seemingly reserved for him and him alone. There's a faint red tinge to her own cheeks โ
โ ear as he compliments her eyes.
๐๐ฉ.
She ever so slightly leans into the touch. Her expression, previously bright and energetic, smooths out, softening into something surprised and warm, as if she's made some quiet, meaningful discovery. And, in fact, she has.
Hordak can be fascinatingly โ
โ the type of comment she'd just made. Based on a multitude of interactions prior to this one, he would've put space between them and changed the subject entirely.
He definitely wouldn't have done what he's doing now, his fingertips brushing against her temple to tuck her hair behind her โ
Normally, this is the point where Hordak would explain things away, and Entrapta would allow the topic to be dismissed and moved on from. Normally, she would simply make a mental note to later log and analyze it.
Normally, however, Hordak would've left her personal space by now, especially after โ

/ and so are you!! so we both just need to get out of our own heads, i think, and trust each otherโs enjoyment of our writing.

โ โThe blush on your cheeks really brings out your eyes.โ
โ each other. โIโve already made one like it before, so it shouldnโt take long. Two weeks, as long as the materials I need arenโt too difficult to come by. And they shouldnโt be.โ
She tilts her head. As she so often does, she speaks before first considering the effect her words may have. โ
โ directly with Hordakโs actions โ prolonged eye contact, close proximity, the occasional brief touch he allows from her, the meaningful words he tries and fails to make sound professionally distant.
She swallows, throat bobbing with the effort. She makes no move to increase their distance from โ
โ decrease in personal space until her gaze is drawn to the hint of red thatโs reappeared on her partnerโs face. Is her proximity causing this? Sheโll have to log that later as well.
For now, sheโs too busy noting the increase in her own heart rate that sheโs already determined correlates โ
โGot it! No music. For ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ bot, at least.โ
She already has her own bot programmed to help her meet her dietary needs on particularly busy days, but adding a musical playlist โ to play only when Hordakโs not around โ isnโt such a bad idea.
She hadnโt actually been aware of the slow but steady โ
โ on! Personally I donโt see what the big deal is. If itโs for science, why wouldnโt you want to be a part of that?โ
She finally releases Catraโs hand now that sheโs completely finished.
โ addresses Catra directly. โNo worries! I think it gives the table character.โ
As she finishes bandaging the magicatโs hand, she hums contemplatively. โI suppose thatโs fair. There are quite a bit of people in the universe that I havenโt met. Maybe some of them love being experimented โ
The sound of metallic screeching pulls her gaze down to Catraโs claws. Slowly, she brings the tape recorder close to her mouth again.
โCatra Log Number Fifty-Nine: Yet another She-Ra incident. This time my work table paid the price,โ she speaks into it before clicking it off again. Now she โ
/ 21!
โ it for the chefs? Oh! I could make it play music! What kind of music do you like?โ
Slowly, as she speaks, her hair brings her closer to Hordak.
โ interaction to her log later, once sheโs alone. โOne service bot coming up!โ
She picks up a sandwich and pops it into her mouth, chews, swallows. โMaybe I can program it to take your order.โ Sheโs mostly speaking to herself now, mind moving a mile a minute. โMaybe record your voice and replay โ
โ his words sometimes, as if heโs struggling with something in the big, beautiful mind of his.
She finds him more fascinating than anything sheโs ever studied before.
โGreat!โ Another victory, another unusual acquiescence from the Hordeโs infamous leader. Sheโll be adding this entire โ
โ herself being pulled toward the second hypothesis despite much verbal evidence on his part to the contrary. Sheโs referred to them as lab partners, even friends โ both statements heโs, at best, ignored.
But then thereโs that reddish tinge to his cheeks when she says it. Thereโs a hesitance to โ
โ anyone whoโll listen โ and, well, some who wonโt.
Sheโs not certain what it means yet. Current hypotheses:
1. Sheโs proven herself to be especially useful, a trait he finds superior to others. Heโs attempting to make sure she stays on his side.
2. Heโฆ likes her.
For some reason, she finds โ
