WMATA's buses are also a big part of their improvement plans, most notably the Better Bus system (which definitely has it's issues) They're also going to be introducing BRT routes all across the region and general service improvements where they can

WMATA doesn't have $35 billion laying around to build the Bloop and they're certainly not getting that anytime soon with the current administration. They're working with what they have, which will involve automation to allow higher frequencies and yes, potentially PSDs

I don't know the last time you took the Metro, but it has gotten so much better than the dark ages of 2016. The DC Metro is arguably the best system in the US right now. Yes there are issues but no system is perfect

I'll be joining this. But I think local general strikes are more attainable. Minnesota will be doing one on the 23rd, it's been endorsed by multiple unions and orgs. I'm hoping we could do something like that for the DC area if (probably when) they come

I've heard talks of an increase in ICE all across VA after Spanberger gets inaugurated. I don't know how true these rumors are, but assuming they are it'll be best to prepare to protect your community first

I will not let ICE kidnap my neighbors. We have to be ready for them if they come. Rapid response teams, disruption, a general strike, whatever it takes. ICE cannot be allowed to carry out their terrorism in Arlington and it's up to us to stop them from doing so
