I tried to use a blue palette for my watercolor practice today, and it really didn't work for me. I often sketch with blue pencils, so I was surprised at how much I felt like I was rendering a drowning victim (sorry @bmanuel.bsky.social). Sticking with my favorite yellow-orange palette for now!

The way Bluesky labels any nudity as "adult content" is part of this. Self-labeling holds this line a bit and lets us coexist in a public space. But if we're arguing about whether specific nudes are sexual or not, we've already lost.

(People still get to consent to see nudity, though. Self-label!)
