Instead of the ant scurrying from my footfall, I’m the one fleeing from this puny bug as it looms over me.

A housefly I was about to swat now as big as a blimp from my horrified perspective…

I've always enjoyed this in size. There's something so perfect about scenarios that bring loss of power, status, and humanity into sharp focus.

Subsin13 had some wonderful, nightmarish scenes like this in his early work. I couldn't look away.

Sub-humans are doing as they're told. High above, Elle browses her social accounts, paying no attention to the minions cleaning her dirty feet.

After a long, hot walk through the city in flip-flops, my feet sticky and caked in grime, they didn’t even hesitate when I gave the order: 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵.

Turns out fear outweighs pride when you’re small enough to burst between my fingertips.

Well, I fixed it so they'll never feel proud again.

You know what’s really funny? They used to keep tinies. Even trained a few for me. I never guessed they weren’t immune. None of us did.

Now they’re smaller than their own former foot servants.
Maybe I’ll keep them in a cage together.

They fought back. Brave, really.

I get it. Shrinking so suddenly. Dwindling from my friends to my possessions. Ordered to serve at my sweaty feet. That had to shatter their pride.

It didn't take much to break them. Now, they understand their new place.
