My good rule of thumb is, if you’re collecting social security, you shouldn’t be serving in public office.
The only morally correct ageist opinion is that absolutely no one above retirement age should be allowed to work in public office. Not a single soul
lmao he did
And technically, you don’t even need a SS#. There’s an option for other ways to show you’re eligible to vote. 🗳️
Two PA-03 candidates commit to supporting corporate centrist and AIPAC-funded Hakeem Jeffries for House Speaker. Only @chrisrabb.com is aligning with other progressives and keeping his options open.

PA Voters - now’s the time to double-check your voter registration. Remember, if you live in PA, you can vote in PA. Don’t need a driver’s license, just a SS#. May 4th is the last day to register for the May 19th primary.

BIG NEWS: @PhillyInquirer endorses Chris Rabb for Congress in PA-03!
"Rabb has consistently offered the boldest and most ambitious leadership . . . As the contender who will best represent the interests of his constituents, the Editorial Board endorses Chris Rabb."
When will the media just accept that Trump’s war “news” is simply market manipulation for his insider trading buddies?

Happened to us, too.
THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS COMPLETELY OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS AND FULL PASSAGE, BUT THE NAVAL BLOCKADE WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS IT PERTAINS TO IRAN, ONLY, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE. THIS PROCESS SHOULD GO VERY QUICKLY IN THAT MOST OF THE POINTS ARE ALREADY NEGOTIATED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! President Trump referred this morning to "OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN." This is, of course, interesting because the last time the United States struck a deal with Iran involving a transaction, Republicans completely lost their minds.
Let's take a trip down memory lane. 🧵
What a misleading headline, @inquirer.com How about:

Just like they’re doing in PA-03, 314 Action Fund stepped into the IL-09 Dem primary to support the moderate candidate over the more progressive candidate. (Green bar - $409K)
Assigned a phishing training at work because I interrogated a URL in a honeypot email from IT. Apparently, any interaction counts.
Fine. Marking all IT emails as spam now.

Hidden AIPAC funders are likely also what we will find in 3.14 Action, the “pro-science” super PAC funding ads to support Ala Stanford in PA-03, hoping to split the progressive vote and elect the establishment Dem. But we probably won’t know till after the vote, if at all.
Just a reminder: Sixers first-round playoff games won't air on NBC Sports Philadelphia this season.
Instead, games 1 to 4 will be on four different networks and two different streamers. www.inquirer.com/sixers/live/...

Reminded that performative populism is called “slopulism” by the cool kids 😎
Finally, the Federal Highway Trust Fund (despite its name) actually covers a big chunk of mass transit funding. This proposal essentially says, “Is your gas $4/gal? Let's slash SEPTA funding!” Just awful policy all around. /fin
Second, this proposal does nothing to encourage people to move away from fossil fuels long-term. So the pollution, climate effects, and Middle East forever wars over oil would continue. Why not propose free bus passes? Or electric car discounts? Or bike lanes? 3/
First, this immediately concedes the Republican framing that "all taxes are bad” and that the only lever of policy we have is to cut more taxes. And, it leaves opportunity for right-wingers to always go further—why not eliminate the gas tax completely? 2/
UGH, this proposal is the worst kind of performative populism from my painfully centrist Dem congressperson. Thankfully, it won’t go anywhere, but still...
Let me count the ways this is terrible policy: 1/🧵

Inqy has the correct assessment here: turnout. Given the significant turnout last November despite only judicial races, I expect it to be high in this primary, too.
Mayor Parker will likely endorse Street. Open question is whether progressive luminaries like AOC & Bernie will publicly support Rabb.
I’m seriously considering closing my TD Bank accounts. I hate these robots and the evil corporations manufacturing consent for them. @tdbankus.bsky.social
