Good morning! How are you feeling? Back to Earth with a bump for me. Appointment at the dentist and water switched off in the middle of my shower! Then to tidy up the chaos that built up over the course of the past fortnight! Missing Artemis already. #StayBright
It's April 12 here in Australia, which means it's Yuri's Night or the International Day of Human Spaceflight! 🧪
Thank you so much! I was nervous about splashdown - and delighted when it all went well.

Good morning! How are you feeling? I’ve had a most wonderful long sleep, but feeling a bit dehydrated. Lovely to see some friends last night and see the Artemis II crew speaking after their mission. #StayBright
I hope you gave them a wave!

Good morning! How are you feeling? I am.. wow. Just on way home from my last Artemis II update on Sky News and feeling a bit emotional about the end of an amazing mission and an amazing 10 days. I truly love talking about space - don’t want to come back down to Earth. #StayBright
No lie, even though the team is confident and says they have “no rational fears”, I am going to be stressed until I see them splashdown safely. And then probably quite emotional.
Bookshelf at the Royal Astronomical Society totally packed with books about the Moon
Good morning! How are you feeling? Morning Artemis II update done - *very* busy night ahead with the Sky News splashdown special and a couple of other bits ahead of that. Really hoping they have a totally perfect splashdown. #StayBright

Good morning! How are you feeling? Another nice space chat on Sky News this morning and having a stroll by the river in the sunshine. Going to be part of the Sky News Artemis II splashdown special Friday evening - not sure when I’ll come down to Earth though! #StayBright
Thank you so much! It has all been such a blur - I am scared I will wake up and find out it was all a dream!
Lots of different coloured tulips and a dark pink flowered tree. Quite geometric building in the background catching some golden hour sun
Good morning! How are you feeling? I am relieved a civilisation didn’t get wiped out overnight. My 0930 space update on Sky was cancelled due to all the other big news so I have caught up on a bit of sleep. Much needed. #StayBright
Sky presenter Jonathan Samuels, astronaut and former NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, and me - SpaceKate - grinning the widest grin.
Good morning! How are you feeling? What a whirlwind! I’m scared I’ll wake up. Have been doing my dream job explaining space stuff on Sky News for the past few days and I am over the Moon that the astronauts have been round it! Honoured to share a screen with Charlie Bolden! #StayBright
Blue skies, fluffy clouds, trees and a pond, with green grass up to the edge and the water reflecting the sky
Good morning! How are you feeling? I’m shattered but excited! Today is lunar fly-by day - wowwee! Will be on Sky’s special programme about it this evening. Had a stroll in the forest and felt real joy at being in the sun and in nature on this pale blue dot of ours. #StayBright
I mean the original whole Earth image from Apollo 8 did actually help start the environmental movement, and the latest ones will help inspire a bunch of people, but agreed - sadly not everyone. Still - loving Victor Glover’s words about us all being one.
Well said
Screengrab of a tweet from Pat Sharp: @Radiokate great to see you looking so well on the telly Kate and super interesting and informative as always @SpaceKate Happy Easter.
Good morning! How are you feeling? I continue living my best - most improbable - life, doing daily Sky News Artemis II updates and getting a shout out from Pat Sharp! Nevermind bright, I am glowing - and giggling. #StayBright

Good morning! How are you feeling? I just learned on live TV that I am so tired I can’t complete coherent sentences. Oops. Might have a little nap so I do better on the evening update. 😳 We’re going to the Moon! #StayBright

Good morning! How are you feeling? I am tired and wired. So excited about this Moon mission and getting to be part of the Sky News coverage is great fun! Back on in the 1830 slot today. ☺️ #StayBright

Good morning! How are you feeling? I’m both tired and wired - lots of Artemis II excitement yesterday and this afternoon I’ll be on Sky News talking about the mission! Woke up (too) early and had to check in the crew and been awake since! Exciting though. #StayBright
Despite the crew even including the word “All” on their mission patch, he still managed to make it about American domination - oh - and called it a “manned mission” - ARGH!

Oh my goodness! So sorry I didn’t know that (or grasp seriousness if you said). How scary. Hope you’re feeling better and they can fix up your kidneys. Take good care.
Lego SLS launch platform and start of the SLS rocket body
Good morning! How are you feeling? I am getting excited about potential rocket launch to the Moon this evening. Not long now until the Go/No Go poll for starting to load the propellant. Fingers crossed no hydrogen leaks this time! Meanwhile I’m building my Lego SLS! #StayBright
Still seems to be looking good for first crew in over 53 years to launch to the Moon tomorrow!
Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo - let’s get some lunar adventures for a new generation!
Part built Lego launch tower for the SLS rocket
Good morning! How are you feeling? I’m starting to catch the launch fever energy from friends on the space coast. Really wish I was there.. building my Lego SLS instead! Currently looking v positive for launch tomorrow! Back to the Moon! Let’s go! #StayBright
