Ajax launches himself at Zhongli, who recognizes him immediately as the dear friend he'd left behind.

Zhongli and Fox!Childe snuggle, filled to the brim with joy at this miracle. Ajax's tail flails wildly in happiness.

Omake: Canon!Childe returns home from his shopping trip to see Fox!Childe and Zhongli snuggling. He drops his bags in shock.

‘Pay attention to me!’ Ajax seems to say, wagging his tail excitedly.

Mage!Zhongli sits on a stool with the early morning glow silhouetting him. On his lap is a napping Fox!Childe. Zhongli decides to take the morning slow until his friend wakes up~

Zhongli felt Ajax hum in his lap with soft snores. The birds outside sang their morning tune, yet the mage didn’t have the heart to wake his dear friend.

“Perhaps we shall start late this morning.”

And he found he didn’t much mind the change in routine. 💛
