She did it to save us all. Or something.
Stumbled on the end if this Queen programme on BBC 1. They just said that, like in the Blitz, she didn't go anywhere in covid and stayed put with her people. WE ALL STAYED PUT. THAT WAS A WHOLE THING.
Similarly, historians will retch at Zelensky’s treatment in the Oval Office & beyond. We all moved on to the next abomination without even stopping for sandwiches…

Screenshot. Teachertapp Today's Questions Have you had a 'mocksted' (an unofficial external inspection to simulate an Ofsted inspection) at any time since September? Yes No, but I know we will have one soon No Not relevant / cannot answer Next
Tricksy one from @teachertapp.bsky.social today. We have a school improvement partner with experience of inspecting who has undertaken focused visits to point out areas alongside the new toolkit, as our inspection is imminent, that are clearly communicated as not mocksteds. So no, but not nothing.
I was having a play last night with snippets of information form my Dad and found his mother, but there are all sorts of things that made that possible through interpretation and half-reasoning. This morning's thread pulling has gone a bit further, and all because of the human element.

Been thinking about how galleries guide us to view art as artefact & how this might be responsible for a shift in status. Mostly ongoing ideas, but there's a diagram which is sciencey, and a vague link to education, so I'll #EduBlogShare

My grandma (not my Irish one) told me once that people not using their official name was so when the devil called their name, it'd use the shortened/alternative rather than their christened one. I think she was miffed she was always just Jean, not even a middle one 😁
Had a little nana-nap.
We have so many deputy/assistant roles that are split into focused areas now that I suspect this is harder to achieve. That and everyone's spread thinly.
Another great debunking by Emma and another example of GB News being absolutely terrible…
Sign saying Nottingham NHS Art Gallery.
Me hanging art on a security fence.
Back in May 2020 when COVID restrictions were first in. I was busy setting up the first NHS testing centre in Nottingham.
Someone feeling important then thought it should have big metal fences around to keep the public out. They made it look like a prison camp […]

💡 Birth month always needs to be a consideration:
- Summer born children are more likely to be recorded as having SEND
- September born children 30% more likely to go to an elite university
- More progress in P8 scores for summer born children
…& more

I sat down and outlined more on where my thoughts are: impressionthatiget.wordpress.com/2026/04/18/a... Also offered a chance for an accurate reference for the diagram which wasn't quite right! Still thinking though...
There does look to be a... demographic...
When I did 1-1 literacy stuff I shared a room with the person who did the maths interventions and we made a point of going through after key papers 😁
Kid post exam twitter was an annual treat.
Perhaps the queue read the thread and used it to pick a slightly earlier time... Looks like a fair few sleeping bags though - you were never going to beat the sleeping bags.
tremendous content here
No problem, glad you think so! It hit me looking at displays at Nottingham Castle & not had time to organise my own thoughts properly (but increasingly think there's something there). Might be the setting at play too (that's where I'm headed with Orrery & Derby vs NG), likely a combination.
Interesting thread.
If AI removes the grunt work for junior lawyers (eg, due diligence for corporate lawyers and discovery for litigators) then it will affect social mobility, as well as other things.
It is how you learn to be a lawyer in those areas.
Mat Collishaw's Mask of Youth (2018), a realistic face of Elizabeth I at the age of 55, without hair, ears or neck, mounted on a robotic armature affixed to the wall.
Last few days to see Tudor Contemporary @heong-gallery.bsky.social at @downingcollege.bsky.social Cambridge! I'm running a Curator's Tour tomorrow lunchtime 12:30-1:15pm, and the show is open 12-5pm every day until Sunday. Don't miss it!
Hi lovely people. I am hoping to get some teachers of GCSE American West units to complete a short survey. It will help with my PhD research into pupil metanarratives about Indigenous peoples and C19th US expansion.
You can access the survey here: york.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...

SPAR Dear Customers, If you use our cornettos for a Madonna impression you must then purchase them. Thank you.
Reasonable.
The WI are asking all members to re-fill in membership forms and declare they were born women. My mum's group have refused to sign (and started spending their reserves just in case), and our friend told us our village group hate it and decided to fill it in this year but see what happens.
If one of my party's recent prime ministers had redecorated the Number 10 flat in a way that ended up involving TWO separate inquiries and a Wikipedia page, I would simply not have put out a press release confirming that the current prime minister had spent less than the allowance he was given.
