updated my carrd with my new dreamwidth blog link so i'm about to remake my pinned post (since the preview image on it is super outdated oops)

also as it's the same theme as my main blog it still suffers from the same problems (ie. absolutely Not built for viewing on mobile/vertical monitor LOL;;)

but layout customisation whinges aside, new place to post my vsynth thought process rambles on yayyyy \o/

essentially a colour swapped version of my main blog oops i Did want to use a different layout but the other one i liked wouldn't let me change the colours on something awawawwaaa (<- couldn't figure out how to get into the code for the layout template to edit it) but this will do for now ^_T

home from day 2 of teto day <:) i didn't stay for the post-evening show DJ sets because i was very hungry and tired, if train services weren't in shambles this weekend i would have stayed longer Q_Q but i left my mark on the signature wall ٩( ᐛ )و

also on a side note i did end up also making a vsynth blog!! i'll link to it when i've stopped poking around at my layout, but i'll be using it to post my funney little updates on everything i do that's vsynth related (as well as bsky, but having a blog lets me talk more in detail 🗣️)

BUT i Did salvage most of the song covers i made with their first bank when i ripped the hdd out of one of the laptops i could find + i should still have some sample clips of the vcv bank saved somewhere that i can use for comparison :]

i have the old test recordings i did with my previous mic (the at2020usb+) and a couple of their old vbs :D just the ones i had uploaded online, i lost 2 other vbs (their very first one and the vcv bank i almost finished) when my laptops that had them died :'I

i've never used an xlr mic or an interface before so i'm gonna be in the tutorial mines for a bit when those arrive, but hopefully i'll get way better quality for bobbi's new banks

also going to test my current soundproofing setup before i cave and diy a booth out of pipes and blankets LOL

finally upgrading my recording equipment \o/ just ordered my new mic and an interface for it so those should be arriving next week :^)

i'll still be on bsky i just like having more website options and places to yap in detail about the things i'm doing/working on without character limits heurghjdsf and i'm a freak about making things organised x

heads up for anyone who does art coms on vgen! theres a scam going on that sends a link in the ref section that asks you to click it to confirm or see a new policy. saw warnings about it on X so figured i'd give a heads up here

i feel like i've tried every new art platform under the sun since wix ruined deviantart and yet none of them have ever replicated that old notification menu... pls it's all i wantttt stop confining everything to single columns

anyway that's my yap for the year. everyday i yearn for the old internet

the reliance on having to repost not just mine but other people's posts for things to be seen also stinks. i really miss having posts just get delivered straight to an activity page in stacks that i can look through bit by bit when i have the time to spare, it just works better for my brain ⚰️

but i feel like because i'm not really interacting with anything on the TL anymore that ppl think i have no interest in seeing their works, which is far from the truth i love seeing what people create!! i just can't keep up on fast moving websites that aren't designed with artists in mind 😭
