There's no concrete answer to that. You kind of just decide it for yourself, and asking multiple people gets you multiple answers. I will now tag for an assist on this.

Which doesn't mean that people don't come to it much later! I should point that out. Self discovery takes time.

Maybe you are a therian, but that is something you have to explore and decide on. It has always been right for me, but I have known that for a long time.
