I haven't seen anything in any of the promotional stuff... Are these No Kings protests at least explicitly anti-war?
Something like 75% of Americans oppose the war, not making this a key focus right now would be a staggering mistake.

So where on that graph do you think Citizens United happened?
Bar chart of spending on elections depicting spending by Democrats and by Republicans per year, with the dollar totals scribbled out and the years cut off.
If I gave you a graph of overall spending on elections and took away the years and the $ amounts, you wouldn't be able to place Citizens United on it.
Citizens United only enabled a preexisting trend to continue at roughly the rate it has before.
Here, I'll prove it! Where do you think it was?
My solution is the only one that has ever historically worked to change an oligarchy's grip on a country: mass organizing and starting a workers party.
There's literally never been a single time in history where fascism has just been voted out. Not in Germany, not in Italy, Japan, or Spain.
So no, the opportunity isn't the primary.
This "opportunity" is a 1 in 10 shot to win regardless of how much you outperform your opponent. It's just not true this is a viable pathway to change the party.
But I mean, hey, if you're ok losing to fascists, why change a thing!
You need to engage with the facts:
In American elections, the candidate that spends more wins 9/10 times.
The Democratic Party funds centrist candidates to ensure they get more funding in every election.
This means that regardless of how persuasive anyone is, centrists are winning 9/10 times.
We don't understand how Democrats had two presidential elections where they focused on this messaging that Trump is so evil any reasonable person should choose the other option, and they lost to the most unpopular candidate in American history, twice. Why is this still seen as viable messaging?
"It works 1 in 10 times" is closer to the truth, and there is no political system in history that has been changed when the people who would enact that change can only win 1 in 10 elections even when they're more persuasive.
In a system where the candidate that spends more wins in 9/10 times, that's just not engaging with reality.
Democrats think they deserve applause just because their fascism comes in decaf.
So funny that you included a Japanese far-right ultranationalist with at least two people who would punch him in the face.
Swap him out for Luigi!
Shame the Democratic party will abuse the pay to play electoral system to heavily favor centrists.
What you're talking about works iff the primaries are truly open and unbiased. As it stands, money dictates outcomes and the Dems make sure centrists get more money.
Change your heart.
Assign responsibility where it belongs: not with the "personal responsibility" of millions of people navigating a system they have little to no control over, but with the handful with the most control over the outcome of that system - those who control the parties and campaigns
Putting homeless people in empty warehouses is not humane! How many people have died in ICE camps already, this year?
ICE is putting them in these camps previously bc they don't care about their health.
Also, this is bipartisan! Look at Newsom demolishing homeless people's shelters.
Democrats could win the House and Senate, then the presidency in 2028, and all it would accomplish was ensuring a fascist Republican in 2032.
we still got 3 years to go but we're feeling pretty vindicated
Imagine it's 1939 and Germany is invading Czechoslovakia and you feel the need to chest beat about how the Second Czechoslovak Republic is illegitimate.
Implying that if the actions did benefit the American people, then it would just be fine and cool to kidnap sovereign democratically-elected leaders from their countries.
Does Youtube care if you reupload content?
Every time we see one of those posts about people getting really into AI companions we get this horrible pit in our stomach.
I think it's okay to not know about things or not have them on your radar, not everyone can know everything. That does genuinely help frame where you're coming from and I appreciate the genuine answer, thank you.
Are you okay with slavery as a punishment for a crime???????
I'm not okay with slavery under any circumstances, actually, wtf is this logic...
Chattel slavery and prison slavery are both slavery despite their differences, and it's hideously cruel to suggest that an enslaved person isn't actually enslaved because you confused the difference. Please stop, now, it's grotesque what you're doing.
It is deeply offensive to say that someone explicitly held in slavery, who has to do slave labor, is not a slave because they do not have it as bad as chattel slaves, to whom I never once compared them.
Again, you're putting words in my mouth! Stop, please.
It is literally slavery. It's offensive to people subjected to this to call it *not* slavery because you can't distinguish between chattel slavery and prison slavery.
In what way is responding to a post about reasons to boycott America asking about other similar reasons to boycott America like talking about the price of eggs in Kazakhstan in response to someone talking about their mother's cancer?
I'm responding about boycotting America to someone posting about boycotting America. This is exactly the topic, actually.
What logic justifies boycotting the US because of a labor camp that does not moreso justify boycotting the US for having 2 million prison slaves?
