Her chances of surviving the recovery time from the surgery with moving house were tiny as it’s a very high risk of infection type surgery with 24/7 care needed that we couldn’t do like I wanted to.

We went to the vet today. She’s now on Prednisolone to help with her bowel cancer. Trying to keep her comfortable until her time comes. My heart is breaking. If we hadn’t have had to move house when we did she would have had the (very serious) surgery to remove it.

Word of the day is ‘matutolypea’: extreme grumpiness in the morning.

From the Latin ‘Matuta’, Roman goddess of the dawn, and the Greek ‘lype’, ‘grief’. Put them together and you get ‘morning grief’.

A riff on ‘unanimous’: which comes from the Latin for ‘one mind’. ‘Unasinous’ means ‘one ass’.
