I was initially at a loss for what colors to go with for this one. Thankfully, I was painting it around the time the Ms. Marvel show debuted, and that proved all the inspiration I needed. I'm glad, too, it really gives the figure some bold colors.

I've been going string with Human minis in my updates for over a month now, so let's take a half-step away to something new. These Half-Elf Monks have very dynamic poses, I love how action packed they are.

Finally, the kusarigama is a classic ninja weapon. Basically just a kama and a heavy weight joined by a length of chain, it allowed for combat up close and at a range. It also allowed them to tangle up an opponent in the chain. 7/7

While the bow and arrow seems like a logical weapon for ninja to use, I had trouble confirming the historical accuracy of that. If they did, they almost assuredly smaller bows than the massive long bows used by Samurai. 6/7

The bo staff is another weapon that is traditionally used in martial arts rather than being a common ninja tool. That said, it makes some sense that they might learn to uses them as hidden weapons while disguised as travelers, monks, or priests. 5/7

While smaller blades like ninjato were seemingly used by ninja, sai were almost certainly not. They seemed to be mostly used in martial arts, though, so it isn't hard to see why they are often associated. 4/7

Kama are traditional ninja weapons. Since they were basically farming implements. Similar to how kunai were essentially spades, the kama were sickles. This made them easy to pass off as tools instead of weapons. 3/7

This ninja is classically equipped with kunai, as well as some scattered caltrops. While pop culture has made kunai out as some deadly throwing knives, historical documents suggest they were probably thrown to distract pursuing foes. 2/7

This Wizard mini has a very dynamic pose, I love the flow of magic that suggest a trail of his staff. Really boosts the action of the pose.

Continuing on with more Wizards! These two definitely fit better into the archetype of the bearded old mage, though it oddly downplays the scholarly nature by getting rid of their spellbooks.

Switching spellcasting vibes up from nature to arcane with a couple of Wizards! I love how their academic and almost scientific casting method often has their minis kitted out with all sorts of equipment for their casting.
