The world wasn’t always this absurd, right?

I guess we should all post f in chat for Trump who had to delete a post, an AI picture where he depicted himself as Jesus, on his own social media platform, which he created after being banned from Twitter for instigating an insurrection, after pissing off the Knights Templar and the Vatican.

Agile in the Age of AI - Miren The principles haven't changed. The participants have.

Great post by @evanphx.dev

I'm finding much of the wisdom I accepted over the past 30 years of being a software developer applies with a multiplier as I move into agent-driven software development. Here's another example.

My heart goes out to the Iranian people, and all who have loved ones in Iran.

The Iranian people have been made to suffer at the hands of extremists, both domestic and foreign for generations.

Whatever happens tonight, you all deserved so much better from all of us.

I am doing a editor to annotate printed tables from the 1900s…. If you think people back then were real artisans and took pride in their work not like the AI slop we have… do I have news for you.

Quality is not about tool usage but of taking time to review things and redoing things if necessary

The machine will never be horny and that is why it cannot be human. It can only reproduce horny. It cannot be horny itself. It will never yearn to rut.

Shout out to @grimalkina’s Claude Code tutorials. And Raspberry Pi teaching modules.

To understand code, we need to get past the production line mentality and stop confusing the output of work with the work itself.

I honestly think this is where centrists constantly fall for the fascism.

They think they can find a middle ground where there is none. Human rights are not something you bestow on only parts of the population.

Trans rights are human rights.

There is no middle ground.
The «other side» is fascism.

You can not be tolerant with the intolerant.

The end does not justify the means.

Trans rights are human rights.

Claude did … rm -Rf did … you used the tool , you gave it permission (implicitly or explicitly) … you did it , it does not matter what tool is used . You are still responsible for how you use your tools be them AI powered or not.

Claude literally asks for permission to do this. Its like launching a rm -Rf on a folder with an account that has permissions over the folder and saying “rm wiped our folder”

I think of it like classic model driven architecture but the code generation we leave it to coding agents.

AI has genuinely good uses AND real negative impact on learning and organizations. As workers we must seize the means of production. As wardens of the future we must understand the societal issues. But the market gives us no time to think — as always with capitalism.

The difference between a junior and a senior? The senior knows there’s no silver bullet — everything depends on context.
Same applies to AI. I have a PhD in the field, and the polarization baffles me. The hype is over the top. The doomsday nonsense is equally absurd.

There is already a gap in current society that tries to equate theoretical knowledge vs practical knowlede (bjj tutorial syndrome?) and know we also have to deal with this stupid idea that no knowlede and following instructions (vomited by an AI) equals a practical solution.

The way we use a tool determines what we learn about a task when using it… and AI allows you to get something cross the finish line even if it is a massive dumpster fire. We are not ready as a society for this in many ways. ChatGPT won’t have anyone winning worlds for sure.

Really nice! For me learning is such a complex thing with a spectrum of levels … really interesting to see how AI impacts it , what is means for actual skill acquisition and the impact (short , long, perceived, hyped, real… )
